It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.....(Eve)

Turkey is in the oven.....Roast Beef is in the crock pot....ham is prepared and waiting for its turn in the oven.  Shrimp are cooked, veggies are peeled and cut, cheese and pepperoni tray is done and potato salad and macaroni salad are in the frig.  And still lots more to do before my 40+ guests start to arrive around 4 pm.  This is my annual Christmas Eve open house.  I really have never looked forward to it because it's a LOT of work and it has always killed me in past years.  By the end of the day I can barely stand.  This year is sooooo different.  I have all the energy I need to do all this, and much more.

I am off of work now until January 5th and I plan to spend every moment possible with my 2.5 year old granddaughter Abby (pictures on my profile).  Sooo, you may not hear from me too much between now and after the New  Year.  But I didn't want to end my wonderful year without saying:

Happy Holidays to my wonderful OH family.  I love you ALL!

Eileen - I hear 'ya! I sailed through 11 hours in the kitchen saturday without so much as sitting for my meals - it is great to be doing these things post op isn't it?!

Sounds like a wonderful meal! Enjoy your time off and your time with that precious girl Abby!

Merry Christmas!

Woohoo! They are so easy no luck needed! Just make sure you chill them really well before you try and roll into balls - of course your hands still get all chocolate covered and you have no choice but to lick them! lol

Enjoy!!

Tonight will be so much fun.  Santa comes every year, and this year will really be fun to see if Abby recognizes PopPop in his Santa suit.  Have  a great holiday Heather.  See you in the new year.

LOL....I know, I don't know where all that energy came from so early this morning, but I'm practically done all the prep work and will have some this afternoon to relax until everyone starts to arrive.  Have a wonderful holiday, Beth.  See you soon.
