Good Morning all! BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR is all I have to say! IT was a toasty 12 on my way out the door this morning! lol I am so ready for spring!
I am at work today, then home to do more prepping for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Tonight I have to make the eggplant dip, and the frosting for my cake, then assemble and decorate the cake. I also have to pack up the car because I, unlike most it seems, have to work a normal day tomorrowthen it is off to my Aunt's to join the rest of the family to celebrate. We are all together Christmas Eve then go our separate way's for Christmas. Chris and I go to my parents with my Uncle and his daughter, and my grandparents. Chris is riding to my Aunt's with my parents so we aren't stuck with 2 cars. He is lucky and only has to work 8-12 instead of his usual 12noon - 9pm. We haven't heard anything different so I can only imagine that I will be working my normal 6:30 - 4pm. Rest of my family is meeting at my Aunt's at 2 so I will be late.... makes me sad!
Well have a great day all! Stay Warm!

Good freezing morning everyone. I am sooooo cold and I can't warm up. I hate hate hate being cold!!!!! I am working a normal day today and a half day tomorrow and then I am off until next week. Tonight I have my karate class and then it is home to curl up and get warm. I would go to the gym, but I can't stand the thought of being out in the cold any more than necessary. Good Tuesday morning everyone!!!
OMG....yesterday was awful as far as weather is concerned. The gosh darn wind is what gets me. It just goes right through you. I know the temp is about the same this morning as it was yesterday morning, but I'll tell you what...it's definitely warmer because of not having those dreaded winds. I was cursing all day yesterday as I was shopping and in and out of the car. I can't even repeat what I kept saying .
Anywho, I've already had my shower and got all pretty, dropped Connor off at school, am eating my oatmeal. And in about 45 minutes I will be heading back to Connor's school for his Christmas party. They're having a brunch or something. Then I have to head downtown to pick up my check and go to the Department of Vital Records for an application for Garry's father's death certificate. The darn thing won't download or even come up on the screen for me to print. So I figured I'm heading downtown anyway that I would pick it up for him.
Then I have a couple last minute gifts to get. Will come home and make the dough for the sugar-free sugar cookies. I made the s/f choc chip cookies last night and they turned out pretty good. Connor loved them. He can't wait to help with the sugar cookies so he can cut out the shapes.
Then tonight I'm off to Macy's from 6 to 12:15 and then back there Christmas Eve from 10 to 6:30 p.m. So as I'm sure with everybody else, a busy next few days. Well, try to stay warm everyone. Have a great day!!!

Can I have the recipie for sugar free chocolate chip cookies?
Also..if you look on the splenda website...there is a recipie for sugar free powdered sugar. It is basically a blend of splenda and cornstarch that you whip together in the foodprocessor (to make the splenda fine like powdered sugar). I mixed that w/ milk and some food coloring for icing. It didn't harden quite like your traditional powdered sugar icing, but it did the trick.

Hey Pam,
I just used the recipe on the back of the Hershey's choc chips, but I will write it out for you.
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 sticks butter, softened
1/3 cup of granulated splenda blend
1/3 cup of splenda brown sugar blend
2 tsps vanilla
2 eggs
1 pkg of s/f chips
Heat oven to 375
Put your dry ingredients in separate bowl. Beat butter, splenda, brown splenda and vanilla until creamy. Add eggs, beat well. Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in chips.
Bake 7 to 9 minutes. I never follow the time....my mom always took them out sooner to make them stay soft. They were so delicious. I hate hard choc chip cookies.
I also used more Splenda. I put another 1/3 cup in it. I remember Liz saying that she thought she would add more vanilla to it....I think it was just missing some extra sugar or brown sugar. When I made the Nestle's with my mom I know there was like 2/3 cup of both sugars. And the way they turned out with the extra Splenda was good. They don't really flatten too much, so I wouldn't drop them on the cookie sheet in a plop...I would flatten them a little. Maybe I had too much baking soda in them.
I just realized I used baking powder instead of baking soda. That was probably what made them stay too fat and not flatten. Oh, well...I'll do better next time!!
Well, good luck!!!
