Think Good Thoughts for me...
So I walk into work..now mind you...in the beginning of December I was told I was on orientation until Dec 28. Then the "master" schedule came out starting Dec 14...my name was on it...but they told me I was STILL on orientation (even though orientees aren't supposed to be on the master schedule...) so....I've been on orientation....which is fine with me...
Walked into work tonight....they told me who I was orienting with...then I walked out onto the main floor....and the charge nurse (whom I had never met) says to me "Are you pam?" "Yes" "Oh, ok, aren't you off orientation" So I go through the whole song and dance....and she's just as confused as I am...
Bottom line....I am off orientation as of tonight because I was counted as a nurse, not an orientee, and if I wasn't taken off...there wouldn't be anybody to take care of my patients.
Now...I'm not "uncomfortable"...but I'm not comfortable here yet....it's still a little overwhelming at times....so say a good thought that I find the supplies I need....and get my patients to the right part of the hospital w/o getting lost or looking like a moron!!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses. 
If you are driving to Easton....please make sure it is a night I have OFF
If, however, you are in need of a hospital and a nurse....and I am working...drive over to ALLENTOWN....cause that's where I work....only live in Easton :-P

Hey there I know what it feels like to be uncertain and know that your patients and the other nurses are depending on you. But I am sure you can do it. Just keep telling yourself that you will get through it, and that the patients are the most important. I will be thinking of you and hoping that you have an easy night to get used to everything. You go girl.
