PAT
Expect to be there for 2-4 hours. They will do blood work, EKG, Chest X-Ray, Gallbladder Ultrasound, and LOTS of info given. I found it helpful to have another set of ears with me to absorb all the info. They will give you the "Barix Bible" which contains all of your info for after surgery and the prep. I brought a snack with me because parts of it are fasting then there is a point where you can eat and drink before they go on.
Best of luck! This is the last step before the big day!!

A breathing test and being taught how to use the spirometer is also on the list of things for PATs.

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen
