I am home from hyster & plastics

Hi all
 I am so glad to be home I had a hysterectomy  and abdominoplasty with DR. LAm on Friday 12/12. . I was d/c today Sunday and it is so good to be home.
My RNY and my Barix training helped me a lot with this surgery from Barix I learned to walk  & drink and use my incentive spirometer and that is what got me out of the hospital so fast after this surgery. I was supposed to stay in until Tuesday  becasue of the hysterectomy,but I did so well they sent me home on Sunday. I have an appt with DR. Lam on Wednesday.  my belly is not to bad but my back is killing me from that hospital bed I have to sleep on  the recliner because of the abdominoplasty and in the hospital Dr. Lam locked my bed so we couldn't move it so I don't lay flat. I am in some discomfort but it is a lot better then I anticipated and I am sure glad to be home and back on the computer

susan so glad to hear you are home and doing well.
I am convinced you being up and around is what made your stay short
unfortunately my recovery was poor due to poor nursing, they did not get me
out of bed at all the night of my surgery even though i asked and had doctors orders,
so i struggled alot.
Next time I am taking a personal nurse with me,

 I am glad to hear that you are doing better.
I  was in the maternity ward @ Lower BUcks HOspital because of the hysterectomy, and I was very lucky the nursing care there was wonderful it was jut like being @ Barix

Glad to hear you are doing well.  Just be sure to take it easy and don't do too much.  I really enjoyed the support group meeting last Tuesday.  Everybody was so nice and helpful!  I met with Dr. P on Friday and am starting the process all over again.
