***Tuesday Roll Call***

Good Morning!!  4:30 in the morning and hopefully only 2 1/2 hours left till work.  We started out a little upbeat today...but right now the ER gods are having pitty on our souls and letting us catch our breath.  I'm sure the 5:30 hour will change all that!

Today I am going home...taking a load of laundry out from the dryer, washing and drying some sheets....doing the litter boxes....and hopefully watch some tv w/ hubby and then off to bed.  Oh...I'll need to get some food out of the freezer either before I go to bed or definately before I go to work for dinner on Wednesday night.   Right now we are still in party left over land...but I want to make a meal on Wednesday....plus I'll be off so it'll be easier to cook then.

My big goal for the day is to set the alarm right...I laid down to take my nap last night and ended up setting the time correctly but turning the button to the "off" position instead of the "on" position.  I was supposed to wake up at 9:15...hubby woke me up at 9:47 asking "What's going on...are you getting up?"  Uh...yea!!  So hopefully I'll get up at a "decent" hour tonight and not be running around the house like a lunatic.

Have a great day all!

Good Morning Pam and Everyone,
I will be heading off to school in a few minutes.  After school, I have my club where we are collecting toys for the Salvation Army to distribute to needy children for the holidays.  Then, I will try to get them to the Salvation Army before 5:00.  Easier said than done.

Tonight I am supposed to go to my group, but I am going to head home and crash instead.  I am beat, and still awaiting my test results.  I have cleaning to do, and I really want to tackle it if I have any strength.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Hugs,
Trish

Good Morning all! I am here at work - still feeling a bit dizzy but hoping that the  meds help, they seemed to last night, I'll take the first dose here shortly - just having some breakfast. After work today I have to run into the grocery store then home to make dinner and rest. Body is telling me too and I figured that I better listen! Thats it for my non-exciting day.

Make it a great one!

Good morning - I'm at work - its quiet here - kind of nice after the noise at home this past week. My brother is in town and very boisterous to say the least - not that I can't hold my own in a crowd, but he tends to talk AT you, not TO you, and I'm about over it. He has kept his drinking under control, until last night - last night he was plastered, and the drunker he gets the louder and more obnoxious he gets. I finally went to bed - usually he heads to bed at 8:00 or so when he gets like that but last night he stayed up.

I love the guy, I really do, and it breaks my heart to see him drink (and smoke) like he does. He's only 60 but man, he's got a cough that is so nasty. And he cracked me up the other night because he told me he was so afraid for my health when I was so heavy - which I truly appreciate, but hearing this from a chain smoking alcoholic was a little 'odd' to say the least.

However, he has been so complimentary and supportive and happy for me with all of my weight loss and how much better I'm feeling and doing, so its hard to get too upset with him. I just think my mom is in for one long ride back to Florida - thankfully he does not drink and drive - he has some sense when it comes to that, so I'm not concerned.

It will be nice to have a quiet home again for a couple of weeks, then my sister and b-i-l roll into town with my mom the 23rd and are staying til the 30th, so things will be hectic once again. But I'm glad they're coming for christmas - I miss my sister a lot.

Good Morning,
Gene and I are preparing for his Plastic Surgery today. He will go into the operating room approx 10:30 then I have 5-6 hrs of waiting until he is done.
After that they will give him drugs for the ride home, I'll bring him home, put him to bed, and be home tomorrow and Thurs if necessary to monitor him.
If this goes as well as the Abdominoplasty I'll be making sure he drinks plenty of water and takes his pain meds, and watching to make sure he does not run a fever.
It amazes me that they can do this surgery as a same day surgery
Hope everyone has a good day.

The abdominoplasty was same day as well?

What surgery is he having now?

Please be sure to update us on his progress and we'll be thinking good thoughts for all of you!

Yes the abdominoplasty was the same day. His surgery was in the afternoon and I had him home by 9 pm and in bed.

he's having his arms, and some upper body skin removed.

He went into surgery at 11, and should be in there approx 5.5 hrs.

Good Tuesday morning everyone!!

This morning I arose a little late than my usual 7:00 or 7:30.  I mean, I was up, but fell back to sleep.  And then Connor came upstairs at like 7:45 and was like, Mom, you need to get up.  I was sleeping in a little more today and it was harder for me to get up, because I didn't take my butt to bed until 1:00 a.m.  That's very unusual for me, but I was stuffing envelopes with invitations for my dad's surprise 70th birthday.  Plus, the Macy coupons and finishing up my Christmas cards.  Now I have to go to the post office and buy 500 million stamps!!!

Anyway, I got Connor off to school.  I'm now eating my breakfast.  Then I will probably jump in the shower and get ready to head downtown to pick up my paycheck.  After that I'm stopping by my old neighborhood to say hello and to drop off a couple invites for my dad's party.  I might as well save myself 3 or 4 stamps while I'm in town!!!

Tonight is a Macy's night.  So I will heat up some left over backed ziti that I made last night for the family and then head out to Macy's to be there by 6:00.

That's it for me.  Have a great day everyone!!!

Karen
