Could someone give me some info please.

I was a Brader patient as well... He did use a drain but was very gentle removing it... I also had two drains after my tummy tuck... I would never describe the feeling as "pain" it was more of an uncomfortable feeling that lasted only as long as it took to get the drains out.  The thought and the anticipation of what it's gonna feel like is much much worse then the actual removal.. You'll be fine! :)

I had a drainage tube.  It was not painful when they removed it.....at least not for me.  It was an odd feeling.  It felt like the tube was coming way down from my toes....LOL!!!  It sort of tickled....felt odd....and made me shutter all at the same time.  It wasn't a big deal and the resident that took it out did it quickly.  Remember you'll probably still be on pain meds when they take this tube out.  If your worried about it....ask for more meds...LOL!!

My Dr uses 2 drains.  The one on the left, I barely knew it was there!  Except when it had to be emptied!  That one came out the day I was discharged.  The one on my right...that is another story.  In the hospital..It was a bit uncomfy, but not too bad!  I had problems when I came home.  I have the experience on my profile, check Sept.  Once it came out, It was 100% better!!  I didn't feel the drain on the left when he took it out.  I did feel the other one!!!  The drains aren't bad at all!!!  I think my issues were not common.  I was the first one that they had to have come to the ER to have the drain removed!!!  Usually they wait until 1 week post op.  I had mine out on day 5!  The only real pain I felt with them coming out, was the clipping of the stitches.  But hey, I'd do those little bit of "growing" pains all over again!!!
