Stupid question

I was wondering what this whole friend thing is and how does it work?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Mike, 

It's basically just a way to connect with other members that you've talked to -- and maybe even some you haven't yet talked to.  It saves your "friends" on your profile so you can easily click on one of their profiles in the future -- check in on how they're doing, read their blogs, look at their pictures, etc -- and it also saves your "friends" to a list in the PM (Personal Message) section so you can just click on a "friend's" name and send them a PM.

You can also look people up via their OH name...so if you don't have them listed as a "friend" you can still follow their progress and what not.
