Plastic Surgery in PA
That does not sound bad at all. I spoke with my fiance and advised him what he should get prepared for as far as cost. I hate to think so ahead of myself but I like to be prepared. I am having WLS surgery 12/2008 and hope to have PS before the Summer 2010 if all goes well. My insurance, Keystone East POS, does cover excess skin removal if medically necessary and I am definitely going to look into having insurance cover at least my TT procedure and/or breast reduction (if lift is not needed)....
Last thing, what insurance do you have. The PS advised me to start documenting any issues or discomfort with my skin.

We also have keystone east and they would not approve the tummy tuck. Gene had rashes and all that goes with that under the flaps of skin, he had over the 6 inches the insurance company looks for of hanging skin. We have tons of pictures documenting all the skin and rashes. The one thing he did not have was severe back pain and the intefernce of walking from the hanging skin. we fought them for about 2 years and ended up paying out of pocket.
We worked with another plastic surgeon for that amount of time but when it came to the proceedure he only operates at Temple and Temple wanted something like 20,000 for them to open up their operating rooms for an out of pocket proceedure. So that is when Mike recommended Dr. Skalicky to us, we went for the appointment, let him know that we'd been appealing the insurance company for 2 years, he had an opening on the day gene planned his surgery with the other surgeon so we went with him. Everyone that I've spoken to about Dr. Skalicky raves about his work so we are looking forward to seeing what Gene's tummy looks like without the binder when he goes back for his first follow up.

Thanks for all of the insight. I really like the choice I made with "Dr. K" and his staff. They have been prety much on top of everything for me and not to mention that y surgery is about 2 months after my consultation. If you do not mind me asking, how much was the TT. I know that men and women are different and also how much weight did your spouse lose in total?
