Hello All,
I'm finally home from the hospital after my hysterectomy. I had the surgery on the 10th, the operation was supposed to take 1 hr, it took 2, thank God a friend from church is a surgical nurse and was able to keep Gene and my daughters updated on what was happening with me. I was all set to come home on Sunday the 12 and instead noticed my left leg extremely swelled had a dopple and ended up with a diagnosis of a Blood Clot the length of my left leg, it is from my groin to my calf. We don't know the reason for the clot yet, I've had so much blood taken out of me to see if the clot happened because of something in my blood, so far my Lupus test has come back negative WE are still waiting for the results of the other 5 tests. I came home this past weekend. Gene took me for a walk today, God it's amazing how long the driveway gets when you've had surgery I'm still on pain meds. I am very surprised with the results of the surgeon glueing me back together after surgery. He said I have a few internal stitches but everything is glued. I don't have the pain I remember from other past surgeries from the stitches, I'm completely amazed with the way my incisions looks also
I'm still planning to have WLS sometime in the future, just not on my original schedule. I will be seeing my family doctor tomorrow to follow up on my cumadin treatment until we get rid of this blood clot.
Just wanted to pop in a say hi, Gene has been wonderful through all this and I am so happy to be home again with him

Hugs,
Ida

What an ordeal!  I am glad you are home and are on the road to recovery.  The WLS will happen when you are ready and your body can go through it.  In the mean time, keep up that great attitude you have going.  And Gene sounds like an oh so wonderful man!!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

Hi Pam,

So I have the go ahead from him to begin my WLS journey. Gene is wonderful but then again I'm prejudic towards him he is my one and only, my bestest friend in the whole world
