I agree with Beth about the Ice Breakers, esp. the iced tea flavors.  They rock.  I also use the SF Altoid smalls -- they come in a little tin, different than the usual Altoid tin.   I also like Listerine strips to fight off that ketosis breath.

I waited several months before trying mints, but I have them with me at all times now - sugar free, of course. Anybody who has ever done Adkins or any kind of protein diet knows that it really gives you nasty breath, and since our diets are mostly protein now - well, you get the picture. Just be careful - I was never a gum chewer so its not something I miss.

I chew gum ALL the time.  I know I'm not supposed to, but in all honesty, I never once in my whole life swallowed my gum.  I know I am taking somewhat of a risk, but I'm a risk taker!!!

The gum thing is new to me. I NEVER heard of that. I chew gum about once a day. (To freshen up my breath and patients aren't passing out! LOL.

I didn't know it was a "no-no". Boy alot has changed since my sugery!

I use SF mints all the time.
I do use gum but waited until a year out
