Laureen you're doing great!
Thanks so much, it has been an amazing journey and seeing you and all the other October babies last night was awesome, we should have tabulated how much was lost between the bunch of us, I'm sure it was quite a nice amount!!! Yeah, those pictures are worth a thousand words for sure, never mind about the poundage (lol). . .
and you look pretty amazing yourself!!! Thanks for being a part of my journey and I look forward to years of "successing" and friendship!
Hugs, Laureen

You brought me to tears with your kind words, I think it is because on some level I believe in the sincerity of them, but to be honest, it is also because I still doubt my worthiness to receive them. Life is funny, the things we experience so ingrained in our thinking, dis-ease within the pysche, but isn't that what kept me tied to the pounds for so long, it was the outward thing that said, I am not worthy of a life worth living, now I know in my deepest parts that is a lie, but it is hardwired into my thinking and why support and real friendship is so important to us on this journey, thanks for being my friend, I look forward to sharing much more of this journey with you!
With much gratitude and hugs, Laureen

Without the support offered through Barix and the others who open their homes for such support groups, I am not sure I could have come this far, never mind face what the future holds as I get further out from surgery, which is why I hope to become a staple part of all this, as you and many others are! So, while I am nervous and excited about becoming a SG Leader, I can draw off the experience I have to date and go to those who came before me for guidance!

I'm not quite sure where to begin...I have so enjoyed getting to know you over the past year. You welcomed me into the PA family with arms wide open and I got to know you and be your roommate at the Pilgrimage back when you were still a pre-op. I knew back then from our talks, that you were going to do a truly remarkable job and you have done just that 10 times over. I am so proud of you and how far you've come and it is really an honor to be able to pass my clothes on to you!
In addition to doing an incredible job on your journey, you are such an intelligent, kind, warm, sincere and beautiful person -- both inside and out. You were a terrific roommate for me on 2 PA Pilgrimages and you are truly a wonderful friend -- always going out of your way for me when I come to visit and so graciously opening your home to me. Even though we live in different states, your friendship and support especially during the summer/early fall were exceptional. I hope you know how much you mean to me and how much I value your friendship. I am so lucky to be able to share this journey with you. And if we can't live in the same state, I am very glad we are only a phone call/email away.
CONGRATULATIONS LAUREEN!!! You have done such an amazing job and I know you will keep on successing. You deserve only the best today, tomorrow and always!
Lots and lots of hugs,
Your Little Sis :)
I've never had a sister in the true sense, though through the years I've had a couple that I call my sisters from another mother, well Lisa you are one of those and all those wonderful things you said about me brought tears to my eyes. I love having a baby sister who gives me wonderful clothes (lol), but seriously, you are all those things you said about me and I am sooo grateful for the journey that has brought us together and made us sisters by choice!
Lots of love and hugs to you, Laureen
