Eyewitness News (channel 3 here in Phillie) is announcing a blurb about those that fail with GBS.  I am betting it is going to be about revisions.  I am going to watch it to see if a local hospital is now doing the revisions.  It will be on the 11 o'clock news.

Oh STOP  the negative thinking miss Jen.  You are successing and continuing down the successing road.

You CAN be on the news in a few years - on a story on how absolutely wonderful people do with a life time committment to a regimented diet and exercise routine and how stunning they appear years later!

It was about Stomaphyx, and featured Dr. Bonanni from Abington hospital.  Of course, we already knew about Stomaphyx!

Damn Lesley!! YOu are quick!  LOL  I was just going to post this and you beat me to it.  Yep, we already know about it cause we are one smart, enlightened group!!  Funny though...I envisioned it differently than how they demonstrated it on the news.  I think I understood it better when I had my own pictures in my head.   LOL  (maybe I am not so smart and enlightened)

I was going to say the same thing -- I thought I understood what Stomaphyx was but that report confused me -- but I figured I was the only one!  Yes, we are definitely a smart and enlightened group here -- it must be their reporting that was confusing!

I was glad that they reported rather "fairly" on it.  I was expecting the usual "Surgery doesn't work!  Don't get it!" type of report that the media seems rather fond of.

It's a revision procedure for RNY patients who have stretched out their pouches.  They go in through the patient's mouth using an endoscope and make a series of "pleats" to once again make the pouch smaller and more restrictive.
