Barix Post-Op Meeting Wednesday Night/Topics?
It's that time again for our monthly gathering of Lap Banders, RNYers, friends, and family. We'll all be in the lobby of Barix Clinics in Langhorne, PA at 7PM. I'm especially looking forward to seeing our group this month because I've been blue lately and I could really use the emotional boost that you all give me. I would not be true to the nature of support if I did not admit to needing all of you as much as you may have needed me in the past, so I may be leaning on you a little more this Wednesday. I always look forward to seeing all of you. You are a lifeline for me and help to keep me on track and true to myself.
If any one has a subject or topic they'd like to explore Wednesday, please feel free to reply here or send me a PM. Whatever you wish is fine. Also any one who orders products through Barix in Langhorne can pick them up on Wednesday night between 6 - 6:45PM. A Barix nutritionist will be available to process your order.
I hope to see many of you, especially those of you who have not been able to make our meetings the last few months.
Please be safe Everyone and I'll see ya there!

Dennis,
Brian and I will be there.
Based on your post....what about a topic relating to A) PinPointing WHY you are blue B) Things that can be done to help (support group meetings are one good answer) C) Things that you find yourself doing which may go against the program when you are feeling blue (emotional eating?) and D) How to ask for help as many find that to be a challenge yet to overcome.
Just a thought....

Hi Dennis,
Sending you a great big bear hugs, hoping that seeing all of us on Wednesday chases some of those blues away. . . I think a good topic would be learning to combat emotional eating. . .

Hi Dennis - I'm sorry to hear you're blue because you always seem so upbeat and positive, but hey, life gets to all of us sometimes. I do hope the meeting helps chase the blues away and you are feeling better.
I'm with Gina as well - any more discussion on adding a Saturday post-op meeting for those of us who live too far to travel up there on a weeknight? I'd love to attend and have the support of my Barix friends, but weekdays are just too late and too far.
But I hope the Wednesday meeting is good and you have lots of support.
Take care - Kathy
