Ins. approval
Congrats on the approval!! That's always a good day!!
I actually liked the atkins diet when I did it (multiple times) before surgery. The first few days are rough going through carb withdrawl - but then it gets easier (at least it did for me)
Take it one day at a time - and you will get through it.
Let us know what questions you have as they come up and we can give you more specific advice then!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.
Congratulations. You are in the home stretch. I never did Atkins, so I am useless on that topic. I can suggest that you start walking as much as you are able now. Also, practice doing deep breathing exercises, and carrying around a water bottle to sip from. It will be your new lifestyle post-op. Sipping, breathing and walking are your new best friends when you get out of the OR.
Hugs,
Trish

I agree with Trish 100% on the walking - start moving now as much as you can - it may be difficult if you're really heavy, but everything you can do prior to surgery to help your breathing during surgery and recovery will help you immensely. Even when sitting just moving your legs and arms will help. I weighed 388 when I started my journey so walking was about all I could do - couldn't go far or long, but each time it got a little easier.
Wish you all the best - you're going to do just fine!
