Welcome to the Loser's Bench and the pain subsides and the stages of going back to food will come. You will probably find that your tastebuds have changed, as well as your ability to eat the things you once did, have changed as well, but that is a good thing! For now, just do as directed by your surgeon and all will go well. I can tell you first hand that the time goes swiftly, I can't believe I am almost 11 months post-op and how my life has changed as a result of this.
