Checking in again
Still no pc at home, using the pc at moms again tonight. It's been busy the last few weeks for me. Had my blood work checked because the headaches I was having were lasting for to long. A few months ago, the new doctor mentioned my B12 level was to low, that we needed to up my dosage, so I did. Well guess what?? Now it's to high and he believes this is what was causing me to feel sick most of the time. I stopped taking the B12 for one week and have begun it again today at a lower dosage per day. I have to say the headaches are still there, but it's mild compared to what it was before last week. Hopefully, this will all work out in a few more days.
Tomorrow I have yet another interview. From what I understand, I have a very good chance of getting it, please do not misunderstand what I'm going to say next, but from what I was told, the only way I won't get it, is if they interview a minority or a veteran. The state has this rule, if a minority/veteran applies and interviews for the same job as, say me, if he/she is in the top three ranking, then the minority or the vet will be hired. (even if I score higher) Which is why I haven't been promoted for any of the previous interviews I've been on for the last six months - kind of depressing, but I'm not giving up yet! I've scored the highest on the last two interviews I went, but one went to a veteran and the other to a minority. Like I said, please do NOT take this wrong, because I do NOT have a problem with this rule, I just wish I could get some luck and be the one they hire/promote.
I'm hoping in the next few weeks I'll be able to afford to get either a new pc or my old one fixed again and I'll be able to check in on a daily basis again. Hopefully I'll talk to everyone again soon. If anyone would like to email me privately at my regular email address, please feel free, as I said before, I can check that email while I'm at work, but can't check this board while I'm at work. Don't worry too much about being 'politically correct' - first of all as a woman you should be in the minority as well, and number two, I've always felt the person most qualified for the job should get it, but sadly that's not the way anymore. All that being said will be keeping my fingers crossed that you get the promotion and new job.
