:)

yes - my error.  I took the same stuff...either way, don't plan a long car drive after you take it - trust me, it'll have she exact same effect as an enema.

They EACH do a few surgeries a day - there are 2 Operating Rooms - I believe that  Dr P and Dr Boe each do 2 first and then Dr M Does an open last if I am rememering correctly..

Good luck ladies - see you on the other side!

All right Melanie!!! You're almost there - it is very exciting and can also cause a good dose of the nerves, but you'll be fine - you're in wonderful hands at Barix! Everyone's advice is best - walk, sip, listen to the nurses and docs and you'll do just fine. After any surgery you'll feel like a Mac truck hit you, but it goes away.

Take care - you'll be in my thoughts and prayers!!

Melanie,

You and Lesley will be walking the halls together by late afternoon, how kewl is that?  I wish you all the best as you make your transition to the Loser's Bench.

Hugs, Laureen

Congrats on your time!!!  I posted a list of things on Lesley's post for things to bring - but a lot of it on there Barix also has - I'm just like a little kid who likes to have all my OWN stuff with me.

You guys will do great and will be walking the halls tearing up the place!!  Can't wait to hear how you make out!

Pam

Great for you Melanie,
I was a later time, and was freaking out in the waiting room by 1:00 p.m. because my blood sugar was low and I was thirsty.  You will be out of surgery by then, and walking before supper.

My suggestions to bring are:

CD player or iPod, because the TV sucks.
I brought my own pillow, because I am a nutcase about having my down pillow with me whereever I go.
Picture of my kids, because I am a sentimental sap, and they all live out of town and could not visit.
My cell phone, to make phone calls easier in and out.
My own toiletries, even though they did give me some, I wanted my own special stuff to make me feel pampered.
A robe and slippers for hall walking.
I even brought my knitting, and did some of it when I had the where with all to sit up.
I brought pads, because I got my period the morning of surgery.

I am off next week, and can stop up and visit you all, but I need your last name.  HIIPA prevents Irene at the desk from releasing it.

Huggles,
Trish
