Richard Simmons invited me back to his house!
Saturday, I finally visited Slimmons, a dream of mine for 20 years. It was so amazing. Here are some pics, and I have quite a story to tell....
Me outside his gym before they opened.

When he got there, to teach two classes, me and the girls sat and talked to Richard a while and got aquainted, and then we took his project me class, and his sweatin' class. During the break, he came over to me and goes, "if you'd like you guys can come to my house after class and meet my dalmations." The first thing that came outta my mouth was "oh my God!" He said, "I never do this..." and we finished class. So, afterwards, at his house, I'm standing there, and he goes, "well, come on in!" I'm in total shock. He introduced me to his housekeeper Theresa, and his dogs, Dolly and Hattie.
And now for the pics!
This is right inside his front door, Dolly couldn't stop licking me.

And I took another outside before we left.

Unbelievable. I'm speechless. He gave each of the girls a doll before we left, and I had him call my mom. She almost pooped herself. LOL.
Well, I have a few more pics of the inside of his gym, it is located on 9306 Civic Center Drive, in Beverly Hills, CA. One of his DVDs was shot there. His staff greeted us and chatted while we waited, they were wonderful. The Project Me class was first after we all went into the gym after he sat with for a while. We sat in a circle, I guess about ten people altogether, and talked about our food choices for the past week. I had told him I am a gastric bypass patient earlier, and when he went to read my list of good choices, and not-so-good ones, he said, "now this is from a gastric bypass patient..." lol....I had on my list, a little too much sugar in a yoplait light, and an airplane "biscotti" (they're more like lil' gingerbread snaps.) heehee. Then at 11:30 the workout class began, and suddenly the gym was filled to capacity, loud music, and we were in for a really good hard workout. WAAAAY harder than his DVDs. The girls were still sore yesterday, and they are in shape. :)
After class he told my taxi to "follow him in the black Mercedes". We drove all the way up into the Hollywood hills to his house, and he told the taxi to wait, he will pay him when we leave. So he introduced us to his housekeeper Theresa, and then went up to his front door. I'm standing at the gate with this "wow, d'uh"...look on my face, and he goes, "well come on in!!" So we go in and he introduced us to his dogs, Dolly, Hattie, and another lil' brown furry one who was scared to come over to us, he said she rules the place...lol. He showed us around, and we took pics, he showed us his doll collection, his house is beautiful. I didn't want to take too many pics, I felt weird about it. Then he called my mom, and I'm sitting on his stairs with him while he is talking to her. He went upstairs and got the girls two dolls, the dolls kinda look like them. And shortly afterward we left and he gave me money to pay the cabbie.
I was so stunned while I was there, you know? I told him I never thought I'd be in his house, and he told me he believes God puts people in each others' lives for a reason. Inside and outside of the gym, he was funny, he was serious, he talked about God a lot, and very humble and gracious, umm...except when he was yelling at us duriing the workout...hee hee.
I have some more pics I will put up later of the outside of his gym, there's the words, "25 years of sweat" carved into the sidewalk in front, with his initials, and I got some pics inside his gym too.
