Gotta love those WOW moments!!
I went back to the fitness center last night - ashamed to say I haven't been there since December, but I've been working out on my bike at home. Not sure why it took me so long to get my butt back there, but I went last night.
Funny thing was nobody knew who I was! One of the trainers that I've actually had a lot of conversations with said hi and to keep up the good work when I was on the bike, but I could tell she had no idea who I was, so I called her over and asked her if she would help me set up a new work-out routine in a couple of weeks once I'm back in the groove, and she said sure, but again, no clue as to who I was.
One of the managers who is always there smiled and said hi, but again, very generic and didn't call me by name - and he always had.
At first I was a little upset - I knew I hadn't been there in a long time but I was a regular for a long time, too - then I looked at my badge and thought 'Oh my god no wonder they don't know who I am!'.
This morning on my walk with the dog I ran into a neighbor who I haven't seen in about a month and she said 'Oh my gosh I almost didn't recognize you - you look amazing!' - Wow - talk about getting a full shot of feel good first thing in the morning!!
So everyone out there struggling or just beginning their journey remember, never get too discouraged - you are going to reach your goals and along the way you're going to have some amazing WOW moments yourself! And make sure you post them - gives us all incentive thru the tough times!!
