3 Month Reflection
Yesterday found me kind of bummed out since the scale has not moved for over 9 days. I have been walking and working out at the gym and eating just what I should. Logic says it will move, but my heart says what is going on. As a friend said, in the past, this would have been when I would have given up, but not now, there is no giving up.
So, I decided to take my measurements since it was 3 months since surgery. I am down 65 pounds (48 since surgery and 17 from liquid diet) and I have taken off 66.5 inches over my body. I was in shock. Wow what a change. I knew I felt much better, was off my meds, can not only walk but also talk at the same time, and just feel really great, but was amazed at the inches lost.
Anyone who has not taken measurements, take it from one who knows, take them. They will make you smile when you just want to scream!!!!!

I'm so happy for you, tho - and I'm really glad to see you posting again! Congrats on the big loss in inches - that's amazing!!

We're going on a cruise in October - New York to Bermuda - I think this is our 8th cruise - took me forever to talk my husband into the first one and now he loves them! We're going on NCL which is very informal - we'll take some dressy clothes for one night but no gowns. The ship docks in Bermuda for 3 days so we're really looking forward to that.
And just remember, no matter how much 'back fat' you think you have hanging out its certainly much better now than it used to be! I keep thinking of all my loose skin - bat wings, fleshy thighs and bathing suits - but you know what - let people look - I know I'll be thinner on this cruise than I was on my first one 11 years ago, and that's what its all about!
Have a great time - take lots of pictures!! Kathy
So happy to hear about the "successing" that is happening on your WLS journey! Woo hoo on 65 pounds and 66.5 inches, congrats on doing the work to make it all happen and not let the scale alone dictate where you are in this process.
Hugs, Laureen
My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen
