First day of freedom
Slow slow slow and smal small bites and don't take to much. Remember, for the rest of your life your goals will always be the same. Protein is always first. Fruits and veggies are second. Carbs and fats if any should be last and minimal at best.
Make sure the protein is moist, even if means adding ketchup gravy or what have you.
Don't be surprised if some of the firm proteins (like chicken breast or a steak) don't sit well at first.
I would also take maybe 1 ounce at a time for the first few days, eat it over 15 minutes or so and see how you do.
Good luck, and no drinking 10 mins before and half an hour after.

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.
Yes, be very careful jumping back into the real food chain - foamies are a b*tch and if you're not careful you'll have them a lot in the beginning because you want to eat real food again. For me it meant literally waiting 2 minutes between bites - starting out slow with things like tuna salad and softer foods, and actually to date I have not have steak or beef or anything dense like that yet. I'm just starting to eat chicken again. But take it slowly - don't rush back into solid food or you'll pay dearly for it. Kathy
