I had Dr. Monk. When I first called them in 2010, they did NOT take Gateway...... I don't know if that has changed, BUT I became Medicare eligible in May of 2011 and they took my insurance then. However, I did NOT have OPEN RNY. I had laproscopic RNY.

I had roux N Y surgery with Dr. Boorse at Lehigh 4 years ago, but  I was on medicare and it was covered.  Anyone who is contemplating bariatric surgery should consider him if their insurance permits.  He came highly recommended to me and I feel he is top notch.  Lehigh Hospital is also a fantastic place.

Hey, I had medicare with th e access card before switching to Keystone 65 complete. Temple Hospital is in Philadelphia, They are now a member of excellence and take medicare with the access card. it took over a year for that to happen with all the red tape bull crap. But I suggest if you are in the area and can go there, DO!!! the Dr.s and staff are the best in the area!! I was also told that Jefferson hospital takes medicare with the access card, also in Philadelphia, and the bariatric clinic in Langhorne takes it as far as I still know. that was 6 months ago. I still suggest Temple however, that is where I ended up going, It was my first choice and I waited for it. Well worth the wait. Temple is located on Broad street in North Philadelphia, Pa. the number is 215-707-3471 I believe they have 2 or 3 surgeons but my surgeons name is Dr. Meilhan They are all great there. best of luck Tammie
