Eileen: Your NeuroStim sounds a lot like something I found that is used for migraines. They put it in for a week's trial to see whether or not you derive benefit from it. Costs over $10K. Not covered by our insurance. I forget the name of the medical practice. They don't have any west coast offices otherwise we might have gone in to talk to them about it. I hope it works miracles for you.
Hugs and kisses.

Hi OFF Family...I am doing much better today...I even mopped the club house floors today!!! OMG were they ever DIRTY!!!!!!!! One of the new tenants came in and saw me doing that and she about had a stroke!!! She told me to go rest and she would fini****I told her all I had left was my office floor and I was resting here and there not to worry. She said OK then...if I needed her let her know!!! Hi Ladies,
I got up early to take my friend to the laundromat so it was McDonald's coffee day. This afternoon I went to meijers because they had some stuff on sale today. I did my exercise. Another friend had a heart attack and triple bypass surgery so I might go up to see her tomorrow.
Everyone have a good day. Thoughts and prayers for everyone.
Love and hugs,
Yvonne
Yeah, the intensity changes with how I move. If I lean back or move a certain way, I get more of a stimulation. It's weird. Sometimes it's very intense and other times it's just a little zap.
Hello again Eileen....I am so glad the procedure went well. So does that Neuro-stim change the amount and the degree of vibrations on its own? One week, I hope it really helps you and you can deal with less pain. No BLT's...very funny! I hope that works out for you at your job.
That little cafe you went to for breakfast sounds yummy. Those kinds of places usually have the best breakfasts!! That is one thing I do miss being I don't drive. I don't get to eat out very often at all. We have some newer places to eat around here, but I have never been to any of them. That may be a blessing in disguise!!
I am glad you will get a nap in and that you aren't working tonight. Rest all you can!!!!
I love you...hugs....connie d
Hello Eileen...I agree Vickie's mom will do well on her own. However, she can't get into assisted living if she doesn't need assistance with her needs. I don't know her but she seems to be providing for her own needs at Vickie's. She may have to go in senior apartments first.
I am not sure how things are set up there. Maybe their rules are different with Assisted Living.
Love and hugs....connie d
Hi Jeannie and my OFF family:
I am home after getting the NeuroStim implanted for my week's trial. Kind of a weird sensation ...like having a TENS unit going on all the time. Sometimes it's OK, other times it's too much. I guess I'll get used to it. I only have it for a week and then we'll decide if it helped me. I can't do any excessive bending, lifting or twisting (or as the rep called it, "No BLTs.")
After we got done at the surgicare center, Gary and I went out for breakfast at this place on the north side of the city called the Pie Pan. Cute little local restaurant and breakfast was good, reasonably priced.
So I'm off today because of the procedure and just hanging out around the house, watching basketball and paying bills. Gary went out to a movie; he didn't want to watch basketball. I'll have to go into my room this evening for hoops. I'm kinda drowsy right now, so I might take a nap.
Connie, I like your grandkids leaving little notes for you around your apartment. That's cute.
Jeannie, I once had my nephew with me for a month when I lived in Montana. It was three weeks too long. He was 12 at the time and as much as I loved him, I was sick of him after a week. I'm not the motherly type. I just wasn't used to caring for someone else.
Well, not much else happening. No work tonight at least. Have a good day.
Hello Vickie....your flowers are so pretty!! You did a great job!!
I am so happy that Caralee is doing so much better with her formula. She will have a schedule set soon. Then you all will get more rest. Are you getting up with Caralee at night too? I was wondering because you say you are so tired.
I so hope Carrie can find a place that your mom likes and will be comfortable with. Your mom does seem to keep way too much to herself. She does need friends and other people to do things with. I think she will thrive at the right place. Prayers for your mom and you too.
I am glad that med seems to be working and you are managing your eating well today. That is a good start!!
I love you...hugs....connie d
Vickie, I'm glad Carrie broached the subject with your mom. Less like you saying, "I want you to leave." This way, she has a way of saying, "I want to leave. I'm not happy." Some of these assisted living places are really nice. And if she's social (more than my mom) she'll find lots of people to do things with, and lots of activities. I think it'll be a good fit. There's one around here that's just gorgeous, and I'll bet there's one down there that she'll like, too.
Good morning Jeannie and everyone....
Jeannie....I am glad you are having a quiet day to get your things done. I know how wonderful that feels. I love my grands around, but when they leave it is so good to have it quiet again!! It is good that you are keeping the week off to get what you need done. I believe you when you say you have millions of things to do!!!! They will love their trip to Houston!!
As for me.... I had a very hard time getting on OFF today. I kept getting notices that it was not online right now. What are they changing now?? There are usually changes when this happens.
I woke up to everything covered in SNOW this morning. It finally melted and then started snowing off and on again. The good thing is it isn't sticking to the ground now!!
Yesterday was a crazy day. I rested and rested and then I took a three hour nap. I could have slept right on through all night. I decided against it. I would have been up for the day at 3 or 4 AM.
I keep finding little things around my apartment. Messages and funny things here and there. Those kids had fun figuring out where to hide things that I would eventually find. It made me laugh!! They are my loves!!!!
I hope all is going well for Eileen after her procedure today. I hope Judy is feeling even a bit better from hers. Arlene I am hoping your mouth is feeling better too. Sending prayers for all of you. Also for Mary as I do every day. I hope she can contact us again soon.
I will check back in again later. Have a lovely day everyone.
Prayers for our amazing OFF Family and their families. Special prayers for those in need.
Lots of love and bunches of hugs to all......connie d
