Good afternoon Cindy P, Carla, and all my sistas,

Celebrate with me!  I have officially lost 10 pounds on the doctor's scales!  Whoop! And I broke 199 on my scale this morning.  I was exactly 200 on the doctor's scales, but I'm still claiming to be back in ONEDERLAND today!

So, I've got all the bottles washed and sterilized, and I just fixed 4 bottles of formula in the frig.  Caralee is napping and Carrie will be leaving soon.  Wish me luck.  I think I'm ready to do this.  The only part that worries me are the nighttime feedings.  I don't know why that part scares me.  I've been up for every nighttime feeding since this child was born.  I might not have been the one feeding her, but since Carrie and I have been sleeping in the same room, I've certainly been up.  I guess it's just the added responsibility.

Well, I knew this was going to happen and it did.  Chris just texted me this morning asking if I could babysit the boys all day tomorrow.  I've told her and told her that I just canno****ch the boys and Caralee, too.  It's just more than this old Mimi can handle.  I might could manage a couple of hours, or even a half day at a stretch, but not a whole day.  So I wrote her back "no" and she wrote me back, "I don't know what to do then."  I just wrote back one word:  "Babysitter?"

I hate it when she puts me in impossible situations!  

I doubt that it is over.  She'll probably come back on me again later today.  This is why one of them (either her or Michael) needs to get a non-retail, non-weekend hours job! I can't understand why they don't just face this reality and do something about it.

I was going through the pictures on my phone earlier today and deleting a BUNCH of them!  I don't know how many hundreds of photos I have on my phone, but a lot of them are from texts from my kids.  Whenever we are shopping, we tend to take pics and send them asking what do you think about this? or is this the right one?  That sort of thing.  Well, anyway, I ran across some pictures of Carrie and Leo (the baby's daddy) from last year.  And in some of them, Leo's other little daughter, Nicole (who is 3 yrs old and he is also not married to THAT baby's mama either!), was featured.  It suddenly struck me that Caralee has a half-sister!  Oh, what a mess.  I foresee a lot of heartache for my precious little granddaughter and I don't know how to prevent it.  Carrie is getting ready to contact Leo about legally surrendering all his parental rights to Caralee (or he can man up, acknowledge his child, and pay child support).  But even if he does that, it still doesn't change the fact that Caralee has a sister!  Such a mess.

Good morning, everyone.  Can't believe it's Friday already.

I slept like a roc****il the alarm went off at 6 a.m. to wake me so I could give our dog his morning meds.  He's refusing to eat and I think his IBD is in full flare up mode.  I'm going to email our vet right after I finish this post.

It was warm here yesterday and this morning it's cool and quite foggy.  We have a saying here that if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes and it will change.  It's the truth!!

Finishing up for the night. Just stopped in to say hello. 

Had my appointment with the doc who will do the neuro stim implant. He says it's a go, just have to get it pre-certified by insurance. So I'll have to wait for that. It's done on a Monday afternoon. 

Thursdays are busy because of our computer training. Today we also got notice that Gannett got the OK to take over. More tomorrow. We were told we'll all get packets. Oh, joy. Something more to worry about. 

I'm just waiting on the agate clerk to finish the scoreboard page. I need to get some eggs on the way home so I can make a cake to bring into work. It's a tradition for my birthday. (It's not til Monday but I'm off on vacation then.)

Oh, and I got a call from USA Today about youknowwho. Seems he applied for a job. I didn't know what to say. I didn't say anything negative, nor did I give anything really positive. It's a remote job, so he wouldn't be in contact with people. He couldn't hurt anyone.
