Hi Ladies,

I took my friend to the bank and Goodwill then she took me out for coffee at McDonald's.  Then this afternoon I walked up to the store to get some popcorn for my air popcorn machine. At least it's warming up now. I'm making a turkey breast for supper and my friend is coming over. Tonight is Bible study.  I enjoy that, getting to see people from church during the week.

Thoughts and prayers for everyone.

Love and hugs,

Yvonne

Hello Carla and my sistas!

Carla, I hope this solves your problems posting with all your various tablets and things.  Took me just a minute to realize it was you.  Good thing you used the magic word: Vinnie!  LOL!

Okay, trumpets blaring! Confetti flying!  Guess who slept all night like a big girl last night?!  Caralee, that's who!  Whoo hoo!  I feel like a human being again today.  She had her last bottle around 9 p.m. and didn't wake up again until almost 6 a.m.!  Then she had a diaper change and a bottle and fell back asleep until 9 a.m.  I don't know if she'll do it again tonight, but it certainly did help this ol' Mimi to get some sleep.  I was definitely running on empty.

Took my walk again today, but it's cool and damp and windy here.  Not pleasant walking weather at all. Caralee and I have both had a bath and I think I'm in for the rest of the day now.  Sounds like a good day to binge watch TV shows and snuggle on the couch.

Oh, and Caralee is 2 months old today.  Carrie is about to die, not being here for her special day, but I reminded her that a date is just a square on a calendar.  She will be here tomorrow evening; that's close enough.

I didn't get a very good picture of Miss Caralee today.  My phone is not the best camera and I never have enough hands!  I try to prompt the baby to smile and then quickly take the picture before the smile is gone!  I'm not always successful, LOL!  But here's today's smile, albeit a little out of focus:

I have got to go make my shake now.  I'm getting really hungry and running low on fuel.  Damn scale would not go below 198.4 this morning no matter how many times I got off and on it.  LOL!  But at least I haven't seen that dreadful 200 number this whole week!

Love you all!

Connie, I seldom have more than one or two drinks a week.

I've been fortunate so far I haven't been in too much pain. But I did have an IBS incident today. Not good. Think it was from eating too much yesterday.

Hope you feel better.

Hello Everyone.  Eileen, a HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY for you!!

It's cold and rainy here today.  Brrrrrr.  What a difference 24 hours makes -- yesterday morning, it was sunny and warm.

We have a mole in our grass.  We set a trap last week and the little bugger tunneled around it.  So, hubby re-set the trap in a new location yesterday.  We are praying that we get it before it does further damage to what is left of our lawn.

Our dog is allergic to flea meds so we're trying a new approach.  Our vet said to order Nice and Soft from Avon and spray it on.  It's a bath oil that repels mosquitos and the vet and we are hoping it also repels fleas.  The problem is that it leaves a greasy residue.  I sprayed it on my hands and then rubbed the dog's sides, belly, chest, and back and neck.  He HATES it.  I imagine it's the fragrance he doesn't like.

I baked chocolate chip cookies for our local police officers yesterday and we delivered the package this morning.  It took me four hours to bake four double batches of cookies.  The officers take them by the handfuls out to their cruisers so they go fast.  And, I had to make sure there was enough for both day and night shift.  I usually make them oatmeal cookies but thought I'd change it up this time.  Towards the end of the baking process, my puppies were dragging.  Between timing the cooling cookies on the cookie rack and timing the ones baking, I only had a couple of minutes down time in between cycles.

I hope that you have had a good day.  And, I wish you a restful and relaxing evening and a rejuvenating sleep tonight.

Hugs and kisses.

Connie Sweetypie, I often find that when the painkiller works, I am incredibly fatigued.  Seems to be a tradeoff.....

Hi Ladies,

I went to Sams club. I got mad at the gas pump because the pump didn't shut off when it was full so gas went all over. Then Sams didn't have my cuties oranges I wanted. After lunch I exercised since all I've been doing is exercising at stores walking.  Otherwise nothing going on.

Eileen enjoy yourvacation.  It's beautiful there.

Connie  sorry you are feeling so fatigue.  I'm glad the pain is better.

Vickie wow at 3 miles, good for you. Congrats on the weight loss You can survive two more days.

Thoughts and prayers for everyone.

Love and hugs,

Yvonne

Hello sweet sistas!

I'm early today.  It's only 12:37 p.m.!  LOL!

But don't let that fool you.  I've already had a full morning!  I'm up to a full 3 miles a day now.  That takes me an hour and five minutes.  I'm definitely not as fast as I used to be.  But I love, love, love living here in this neighborhood on the golf course.  I have never had such a good place to walk before!  Sidewalks are a nice alternative to just walking down the street.  And the golf cart trails on the golf course are wonderful! If I get out there early enough, I walk those.  There aren't any signs posted saying that we can't walk on the golf course, but once the golfers start coming around, I stay off.  Luckily I live on the 18th hole, so it takes awhile for them to get to this part.

And whoop! whoop!  Guess what I weighed today?  197.8!!!  Hooray!

Baby Caralee was up at 2 a.m. and again at 6 a.m. last night.  Whew!  I tell y'all, I am OLD!  But I only have to make 2 more nights and then Carrie will be here.  I think I can . . . I think I can . . .  There's no way I could be doing this without Mom here.  She and I take turns trading off during the day.  Mama's back hurts and my right arm and shoulder are practically useless, but between the two of us, we're making it.  I sure hope that cortisone shot Friday morning helps my shoulder!  I'm swallowing Advil like they are candy--which is bad for me, but I've got to be able to function.  I did try taking 3 extra strength Tylenol after my walk, but I can't tell that they are helping at all.

Eileen, your vacation sounds very nice, with the possible exception of the time share.  Butch and I had planned a trip to Dollywood, but we never got to take it.  I would still like to go one day.  We had already scheduled a fall trip to New England to see the leaves and to go see Niagra Falls, and we had to cancel it after he got sick.  I would still like to go there, too.  Maybe one day I can take my grands there.

Well, little Miss Caralee just woke up, so I have to go.  Love you all!

Good afternoon Eileen and everyone...

Eileen I wish I was with you!! Just a gorgeous area!! I love Montana too!!!!! People are so nice and the view is dynamite!! My favorite flowers are wildflowers and there is always plenty of them around!!! Nic's, Stephanie lives in Butte, Montana. The cancer camp is in Bosemen.

I would love to go on a trip to a winery. It has been a very long time. I love wine. I don't drink much anymore by my choice. My daughter brought me a bottle on Easter. It is still sitting in the refrigerator. Because I take Vicodin, now 3 times a day, I worry about drinking it. I guess I will discuss it with my doctor on my next visit. What do you think? You are on Vicodin right?? I was thinking of having no more then 3-4 ounces a night.

Good grief they are tight with bedding and coffee and such! If you see one of their carts go grab a handful of coffee packets!! Next time you go there throw a foam mattress in the truck. You can then put it on that uncomfortable hide-a-bed!! Still not the greatest but it will help some! They are pretty cheap too.

How are your knees and back feeling? I hope you aren't in too much pain. I am still praying for you every day.

As fo me... I am not doing much today. This fatigue is awful. I even canceled my grocery trip with Fran today. My pain is much more under control. Now I wish the fatigue would get better. I am so grateful the pain is manageable.

Wishing everyone a really great day!!

Prayers for our sweet OFF Family and their families as well. Special prayers for those in need.

Smile at people today...they may need one!

I will try to check back in later.

Lots of love and oodles of hugs to all....connie d
