CONGRATS....THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS YOUR WAY....HANG ON ITS A WILD RIDE!!!! DO WHAT THEY SAY AND DO NOT RU****
HUGSSSSSSSSSSS
AND DON'T FORGET TO COME BACK AND LET US KNOW HOW YOU ARE DOING!!!
I am so excited my surgery is tomorrow!
I can't wait to be on the "losers bench".
My arrival time is 8am.
Prayers are appreciated!
Whatever Colon Cleanse you use, a friend told me to start 3 days ahead instead of doing it all in 24 hours before colonoscopy, and arriving all sore from explosive eruptions sitting exhausted all night on the toilet. By starting earlier, you can space the "Drano episodes" over 3 days and drink clear liquids like 7-Up, Club Soda , consommee soups, and eat lemon Jello over the 3 days to help flush out while staying hydrated...you might even lose some weight! You will definitely arrive cleansed out for your colonoscopy, but you will have managed some sleep and guaranteed your bum and insides will be less sore.
Good Luck
Jen
I called the Dr today and they said that because my insurance wouldn't cover it they could give me the FREE SAMPLE!! I asked them when I was at my appointment if they had samples and they told me no. WTH? So I had to make a 40 mile trip back for it today. Oh well. So I now have everything I need for my PREP just need my clear fluids now which I can get Saturday.
Thanks for being here to listen to me....Meant a lot!!

Judy,
I had a similar experience with a colonoscopy in the past, but when the office staff reviewed the process with me they said id I could not afford the prep another one would be prescibed.
I passed on the expensive one and was told to do the trafitional: drink that nasty stuff at 1 & 3pm followed by a dulcolax - repeat at 7pm.
I had to do a 2 day prep bc I didn't go with that expensive one.
I have since learned how to clear my system by using the above prep and miralax for 3 days before procedure. If I don't feel totally clear I do an enema.
Anyhow, hopefully your specialist can prescibe plan B.
Good luck!
