Hi Julia,
I've been busy lately. Wednesday I went to the Dr for my low blood pressure episodes, she took me off my medicine and I haven't had a episode since then. I'm also getting in the extra calories that she wanted to eat.
Yesterday was supposed to be a fun day but didn't turn out as planned. I rode with my niece and ex sil to my great niece b day party. When I went to the bathroom, I noticed my ex sil car was gone. I asked my other niece if they left and she said yes. They never bother to tell me they were leaving so I could decide if I could find a way home or leave with them so I could get my car. My brother finally took me to my car at 9 pm. I wasn't a happy camper when I finally got home after 10 pm.
I went to kohl's today, I got some large size shirts that was on clearance and I had 30 percent coupon a 5.00 cash reward off. Also brought me new knife set with butcher block and new tennis shoes for 106.00. I tried on a size 12 dress and it fit but I didn't get that.
B egg whites ham and cheese omelet and string cheese.
L I had leftover from long John silvers, chicken plank, green beans and French fries
D ribeye steak and squash
S light and fit Greek yogurt with chia seeds and apple
Everyone have a good evening
Hi All,
I meant to start the thread last night but forgot. I'm needing to get back to posting. I got into a great groove and was having lots of success, but now that I've been not posting I'm starting to falter. I can get right back on the horse now since I haven't gained back more than a pound.
Today I tutor as I do every Sunday. I'm also trying to organize and get rid of things that I don't need in my craft room. I have a very good crafting friend that was just diagnosed with ALS so I know that I need to get things in a more manageable space...she has so much "stuff" and now she has no ability to use any of it...I am going to help her make Christmas cards this year, which she really wants to do. I have a Misti tool which I can help her to use to stamp a lot of images by just moving the panel. Of course I will need to load each piece of card stock for her, but she will be doing part of the process. Her paralysis is progressing so quickly that I'm thinking this will be her last Christmas. It is a difficult thing to watch. We are so lucky to be able to do so many things with our bodies that we take for granted.
My food plan:
Breakfast: one quarter of a veggie omelet with a few pieces of potato
Lunch: green salad with cheese and nuts
Dinner: leftover Chinese Mongolian Beef plus some chow mein
Snacks: watermelon and mixed nuts
Hugs to everyone!
Julia
I agree, we bought a family membership. We have been 6 or 7 times and still have a section of the buffalo bill cody museum to see. I loved the art museum and the natural history museum. The gun museum was worth it but there are so many guns from so many time periods that after awhile they all blurred together. Every time I go back I see something new.
Linda,
Other than going to Yellowstone, we only visited one other significant thing and that was the Wild Bill Cody Museum, which is a part of the Smithsonian and it was well worth the money we spent. Go see it.
I would Love to be able to retire..I have so many project that I would love to do.. Or just nothing...
My birthday is coming so we decided to have our summer family and frinds get together at our house. Keith (my BF -SO) did most of the work but I helped of course.. . I did most of the shopping and planning for the party...even restock our liquor cabinet. (it was bare) .
We only invited 12 people and only one couple could not make it. The party was perfect. Food was great (Keith grilled the sausage and meat) ...
We have lot of leftovers... Some we could freeze for later. Rest - will last at least one week. Food that I may be tempted to eat, that both can hurt my gut and make me gain weight - is packed and put away. Out of sight - out of mind. Eventually.Keith will eat it, or we will toss it.
I had some fruits for dessert...did not touch cheesecake or tiramisu... Or even whiped cream. I had some fruits that I normally don't eat (grapes- too much sugar) but I did not have enough to cause issues. Overall - I don't think I ate enough. I was visiting with friends and drank too many diet Pepsi Max (I am addicted to that thing - so we only have that at home when we have people over..)
Alcohol was there but I was not even tempted. My system responds with a horrible 2+day GERD if I have even a small amount...and that on strong Rx PPI that I take together with OTC PPI. So not even a glass of wine for me... Some days I miss that. But not today... Really did not want any.
Tomorrow is a rest day. We probably go to a movie and just chill at home...

the bill cody museum is awesome. We took all day and didn't get through the gun museum. We decided to buy a membership. We been 7 or 8 times. We are headed there now to finish up the section on buffalo bill himself. We've been to yellowstone 3 times. Went to the south rim of the canyon and saw the upper and lower falls, went to old faithful, anti climactic, took the hikes around all the geysers in the area, much more interesting than old faithful. We still have to do mammoth Springs and the north rim. We are hitting the highlights but three is so much more to see. There are hikes all over the place and I am armed with bear spray but might not get around to most of those hikes. It's takes so long to get there and back that I get worn out, it becomes a 12 hour day or more and I'm too old to do that day after day. We also bought season tickets to the rodeo and have gone several times. We are having a good time. Did you buy boots?
I've had a crazy week, and have made some good choices, and some not so good choices. Still stuck with the sugar addiction. Been watching the kids a bit. Colleen's brother-in-law had open heart surgery on Thursday. He's got a long recuperation period ahead of him. He's the brother whose wife passed away after their baby was born. Baby is two now, and Toby won't be able to pick him up for three months.
I'm getting ready for a trip to PA. Tons to do.
Hugs,
Trish

Good luck with the house hunting. I used to move often so it was easy. No extraneous belongings so easier to pack and move. Then I spent 8 years in Denver and collected a bunch of junk and I have not been clutter free since. Now even thinking of moving gives me night terrors but I want out of Houston bad enough to take on the task in the next year or so. It's not Houston its just that I want to live somewhere where I don't hurt.
I am loving Wyoming. Its a little warmer this year than usual and too hot for me but It is dry and I am comfortable. We've been doing lots of things. What did you do in Yellowstone and the area? Hope you had a good time. Enjoy your retirement.
Today's food plan
breakfast - 2 boiled eggs
lunch - hamburger no bun
snack - grapes
dinner - not sure
