Welcome Hojo & congratulations on your recent surgery! I had mine at 57 almost 3 yrs ago & have never regretted it despite some regain.
This site isn't as active as it used to be, but we are hopeful newcomers will make it the way it used to be. We shared about everything going on...just not weight loss.
Hope all goes well with your appointment. I had the sleeve so a stricture was not a complication of that type surgery.

CONGRATS!!!! And HANG ON IT'S A WILD RIDE!!!! 
I had my RNY back in Oct of 2006 and lost at one time 164 lbs. Sad to say I have gained some back due to stress eating since I lost my mom a little over a year ago. But I am trying hard to get it back off again!! I didn't have any problems with my RNY and my only regret was I didn't do it sooner!!! I was 54 when I had mine done.

Hi everyone...I had my surgery in 2003 (open rny) at 55....I lost 187lbs initially...then did a slow regain of I believe about 100?... now I have about 36 more to lose to get to my lowest.... Now I'm 70... retired... have had both knees replaced during the last year and a half...and I feel really good and just keep moving on!!! I really like the idea of this thread....so see ya'soon!
