Hello Everyone....

I am so excited my power chair is finally in. It will be here next Wednesday. FREEDOM once again!! I can't wait to drive around and sit outside.I will be able to get around our complex so much easier. I look forward to visiting more with everyone!

They really put you through a lot these days to qualify. Insurance Companies are more cautious then ever!! It took at least 8 months to get all the paperwork, doctor visits, pain clinic visits and their doctors, my home nurse and a orthopedic doctor. All listing what they felt the need was. I went through many procedures. Some very painful. I then had to qualify through a physical therapist specialist. He decides if you do qualify. I also needed to qualify with the company that is getting me the chair.. Tests and more tests. Everything had to line up just so and in an exact order. I wanted to give up a few times. My primary doctor kept pushing me. I am finally getting the power chair.

It might sound crazy to you, but, let me tell you it is needed!

So what has everyone got planned for the weekend? Anyone going on trips of some kind?

I have reading posts many years and decided to start posting.

So happy that you will be getting your chair next week! I work in a retirement community and it is amazing the independence people get from these electric chairs. In fact a few of us refer to them as go carts!

My plans for the weekend is to work Saturday and Sunday, both are very short days. Will also start planning a trip to Myrtle Beach, SC for mid November. Everyone have wonderful weekend.
