good saturday morning
Its early and I am up. I have been getting up like clockwork at 6:13 or 6:14 every morning for a month or so. I am in Mountain time so 6:13 is 5:13 and here I am wide awake.
Today will be a time of gathering information on the things to do in Cody and the surrounding area. Went to the grocery store last night so I could avoid shopping on the weekend which I understand is a very crowded time. Other than that I will probably take a Lasix and stick around the house. I have some swelling in my left leg but not as much as usual when I travel. The edema is not as bad as I would have expected so that is good.
Today I will have a protein bar for breakfast, left over grilled chicken green salad for lunch and udon for dinner with a veggie. Snacks will be an apple or an orange.
What happening with you???
Good Afternoon Linda and OFF,
I'm still struggling with the sugar. I am also not making good meal choices. That's all I'm gonna say about food.
I am still reeling from this week's news.
I need to get in some exercise somehow. It's been hot and humid here.
Hugs,
Trish

Trish,
I hate the heat too. I have to tell you that I just won't go outside when it's this hot. Sugar is so hard for those who can still eat it...I am so thankful that I cannot because let me say, I'd eat the hell out of it. I might take a bite here and there, but it's a small bite and that's it. Salty chips kill me...I just cannot leave them alone.
Keep yourself hydrated.
oh Trish I know it is such a struggle. Tha sugar demon is so pervasive. Once I get him under control I MUST not indulge or I start to cycle all over again. Right now I am in control....Tomorrow who knows.
Exercise is so important, just a casual stroll can be both beneficial and pleasant. Also impossible in record heat and humidity. Jeannie reminded me that I could walk in the mall or walmart or anywhere. Alas I hate indoor walking.
Linda,
I know you are excited to be heading out...There's a cowboy museum and, strangely, a boot factory. We are of course taking the kids to Yellowstone, but we are taking them to the museum and to the boot factory to get their own boots. If you are driving, take a quick detour and head to SDakota and see Mt. Rushmore. Then drive straight across WY...there are tons of things to see along the way.
We are getting things together. Next week, I have a friend from the Middle East coming for a few days, then we are packing, and on the 23, we are heading out. I hope you are still there.
I am here now and will be until September 15.
I've been to Mt rushmore but this year we came from Dallas up and across kansas on to Colorado and up 25 to cheynne then a little West thru laramie and finally to cody. Got here last night. Went through wind river reservation and through a beautiful canyon. It is hotter than I'd like but very dry and quite bearable.
Hope to see you later
Hi Everyone,
I'm just cleaning today...I have already taken a tool all around the house to gather cobwebs. They seem to multiply quickly. In a minute I will go out to gather some succulents to plant a little mini garden for a friend. He loves gnomes and I found a tiny ring holder with a gnome in the center. It will look so cute with mini succulents all around.
breakfast- protein drink
lunch- cheese and two pieces of dry salami
dinner- pork chops, mashed potatoes and zucchini
snacks- watermelon, cherries
I also struggle with sugar... I can eat some, not a lot, but it is an addiction for sure. I also have the chip thing Jeannie. So I try to keep it all in moderation. TRY is the magic word.
It sounds like you two are enjoying a nice vacation. You should call me when you get together in Wyoming! My cell phone number is 209-923-3060...I promise I won't stay on too long.
just checking in towards the end of my evening. My food today was as planned except dinner. Instead of uDon at home we walked to a sushi restaurant. I shared edemame and ordered a shrimp roll. Will be taking half of it home. Walking back may work up enough appetite to fini**** later.
Pleased to say the trip did not mess me up. Lost 1 pound on the road.
