Sunday with the Grands
good morning
My last day in Dallas. Friday I got in,checked into my hotel and then drove to my daughters. Hung out a while then went to dinner. I had a grilled shrimp salad. It was very good.,mixed greens, corn, pistachios, carrots, and shrimp. Was much to big. I ate the shrimp then maybe a fourth of the salad. My daughter and SIL had a softball game at 9pm. It was fun. My elder grandson was playing with a few boys and got hit in the nose. Result.....nose bleed. Recovered quickly. Yesterday we went to see finding Dory. It was good. Today I'm fulfilling requests. I'll take the boys to KFC for lunch then to Joe's crab shack for dinner . The younger wants crab, the elder is picky and I'll hope the children's menu has something he'll eat. I'll call ahead to see. Tomorrow I start my journey to Wyoming. I am getting in my steps and watching my food choices. I packed my scale, does anyone else travel with a scale? I have to or I'll have no idea where I am results wise.
Well ladies, keep doing what we're doing and stay the course.
Later
Hi Linda and those to come,
I've been out cleaning off the patio. I try to get an outside task partially done before it gets too hot. I'm getting ready to get into the bath now and also wash my hair. At three I have my tutoring session.
I haven't weighed yet this morning but I seem to be maintaining my weight this week. I'd kind of prefer to go down two more pounds so that I could say I hit my first goal, then maintain there for a while.
If I get my butt in motion I will have time to run to the fruit stand for a couple of watermelons. I need one for a party tomorrow and one for us.
My food today is in flux. Not sure what I even have right now. I did have a part of an omelet for breakfast. My husband brings his breakfast leftovers for me every Sunday. I prefer to sleep....
Hope your day is peaceful! That is my favorite kind of day!
Julia
Hey Linda and Julia,
I am feeling much better today than in the past week but I am very careful what I eat. We drove down the mountain to spend the afternoon with our grandkids...Mr Mathew's birthday is the fifth but we celebrated today. We got him his own drone, and he was very happy. Of course, it only flies like 150 yards from where he controls it but it does take pictures and videos so he said his project for gifted and talented first semester will be to do an arial map of their home town....
Linda, you will love WY. My niece has a ranch in Douglas and on our way to Cody, we will stay a few days with her and dig around for fossils, of which are abundant where she lives.
Today, I had a very soft boiled egg for breakfast and lunch I ate some potato soup. Dinner was a little better--tuna salad. I snacked on pretzels and watermelon.
Ladies, enjoy the fourth.
