Hump Day
Hi Ladies,
It was sunny today but on the cool side. At least when it's sunny, my mood is better.
This morning I thought it was 9 am and I fell back to sleep and woke 45 minutes later, I thought I wanted to be up earlier than this. I looked at the clock again, it didn't look right for the time so I got my phone out and it was 8:45 am. I was up earlier than I had planned. I went and got my haircut since they were having haircuts for 6.99. I really liked the girl that cut it this time. I dropped my one friend at the store by our house and went to visit my other friend. Her boyfriend and her got into it and put me in the middle of it. All I wanted to do was leave but he left. She apologize to me for putting me in the middle.
Since I got a new TV, my dvd player wouldn't play in color. My friends son came over and tried to get it to play right but he couldnt. He told me I needed a different one with a hdmi cable. I ended going to Walmart to see about a new one and they had one that wasn't too expensive so I got it. Now I got color to watch my dvds now.
I have Bible study tonight.
Everyone have a good evening.
Love and hugs,
Yvonne
Yvonne,
I need to get my hair cut...It was long and I got it cut and now it is growing back and the curl is going crazy...so it is best to keep it real short or real long...I cannot do the in between.
We are going furniture shopping next week. My husband's recliner looks so tacky and I hate that he is so attached to it but it's been hurting his hips--his big butt has worn out the springs--so he has consented to a new chair. I have looked at a couple of really nice chairs with ottomans, which I think we should get. I want a rocking chair for myself and he just wants the captains chair...or whatever they are called.
Have a good evening too....enjoy those movies.
I am late posting but its been that kind of day. Can't remember if I have posted at all since I returned from my cruise. I got home on the 15th or so then I did laundry and headed out to the Dulcimer Jamboree in Mountain View, AR. That is always a good time. I love old time mountain music and at the Jamboree there is always a lot of newer stuff as well. It is exhausting but wonderful. Classes from 9 to 4. Concert from 6-9 then jamming until midnight or so only to start over again the next day, then the next and the next. There is music everywhere in Mountain View. I would love to live there. The dulcimer shoppe offers lessons for a ridiculously low price ( at least compared to Houston) and everyone there are wonderful players. When I leave Houston I am thinking I would like to spend spring in Mountain View, summer in Wyoming, and winter somewhere in Florida. Wonder if I can make that happen.
Linda,
You must let me know the next time you are in AR. I will come hang out with you. I love WY...my niece lives there and I go and spend a week or two with her often. We are taking our grandkids to Yellowstone this summer and we are going to spend a few days at my niece's ranch. I found a trunk full of petrified wood, fossilized dinosaur poop, one dinosaur egg that had the top cracked right off but the egg yolk with the little skeleton is in tact. I love it. And some stone tools and knapper stone tools that we donated to a museum...I love it there.
I've spent time in Mountain View at our family's cabin...it's on the white river and just lovely.
Well, I need to get off here and get ready for the sack....have a really good night.
We are going to yellowstone this summer too. My niece has a ranch in WY and they dug out a creek bed to make it deeper and all the rocks were piled on the ranch and since I'm a rock hound, I saw a couple of rocks that seemed interesting and then I started looking and I found so many fossils and fossilized dino poop and the egg...plus I found a ton of petrified wood. I've heard that WY is a really good place to find some good beds of dino eggs but most are in the ground and you cannot dig them out...like a nest of twenty or so eggs but there are times when you can find them.
