When I post on Facebook, I welcome discussion of anything I post there.  I've never brought political stuff to OH.  I'm sorry you don't feel the same way.

To everyone, life is way too short.

I will make comments on a political thread if someone has commented, but I suppose feelings are strong on both sides of the aisle.

But this group, I thought, was special. Very special.

I USED to get upset when people on the opposite side of what my political beliefs are used to post, but I can't. I lost a good friend because of that and promised to never do that again.

And no matter what one's beliefs are, there are others on the other side with beliefs just as strong.

And in the end, life is way, way too short to let things like this upset us. This is a group I recently joined. Posting on the main page of Obesity Help there are plenty of bullies.

Please people, put aside your differences because, after all is said and done, these are people who have talked to each other on this blog for a long time.

Friendship is more than getting upset with another person. Because in the end, again, life is way too short.

Please, there is enough horrible stuff going on in the world, yes, I do mean people starving and all that. Can't we all get along?

I truly didn't think that that FB thing was that big a deal. FB is very political right now. What is happening here is not very kind. I don't know if Connie was calling me or Pat a bad apple and immature but I assure you neither of us should be called that. I am not sorry for anything I said on FB, I just have a different opinion. It isn't fair to badmouth us on here and leave this board in a fit of anger. It looks like "I'll take my ball and go home!" which is not exactly mature behavior. So we are all broken in some ways. Duh.

Thank you Julia.  You took the words right out of my mouth.  I was hurt that one of us was called a bad apple, and immature.  Not knowing to whom it was referring, I felt that comment meant for both of us.
