It's Friday again!
Good Evening Carla and OFF,
I am finally starting to feel human again. I was so sick Wednesday, I went back to the Urgent Care, here in town, mainly coz I was so bad I didn't feel up to waiting till Thursday to see my doc, or go to the Urgent Care that's connected to his practice. The doc said that I had some sort of viral thing with my sinuses. It's wasn't bad enough to be called a cold, coz I wasn't sneezing all the time, or any of the other cold symptoms. Just the headache, face pain, and just feeling like crap for two days.
This morning, I had an early appointment with the surgeon, and he said the foot looks good. He looked at my knee, which is all sorts of colors, both on the knee, and sort of behind it. He looked concerned at first, till I reminded him I'm on Coumadin. He told me there's a hematoma, and to keep ice on it. He said if it gets too big, he'd have to drain it. I showed him my left shin, which is is mostly discolored from that fall in 2012, which had me in the hospital for two weeks, and with a visiting nurse for two months. He did ask me about physical therapy, because of the fall. I am starting that on Monday. It's here in town, which is convenient, coz the place I went to for my hand last year is near his office, which is 30 minutes away.
Colleen had me pick her up down the street from his office, coz her car had to go in the shop. So, we ran around shopping and got lunch. Frankie showed me toys he wants for his birthday. Spiderman and Iron Man figurines. While I was in town, after I dropped her off, I stopped by a great store, like a miniature Whole Foods.
I'm watching the Michigan State game in the Big Ten Tournament. A friend just texted me that all Hell has broken out at a Trump rally. It was only a matter of time. I spent half time searching for the crochet hook I'm using for Lincoln's bedspread. I have ten hooks sitting in my basket by my chair, but not the right size. I was going crazy. I was ready to panic, coz I was just at Hobby Lobby with Colleen this morning. Plus, I just remembered that I need to make a baby blanket for my dearest friend's first grandchild, who will be born this Spring. Since they all live in France, I will will be able to give it to my friends when they're home on furlough this summer. My friends are missionaries to Muslims in Southern France. Colleen spent a summer with them in Tunisia in high school. Russ was best man at my wedding, and tried to encourage Paul to not divorce. He would call me from France to encourage me in my faith, while I struggled to accept it. The kids see him as an uncle, that's how close our families are. His parents always had us over to dinner on Sundays after church, and his Dad would get on the floor and play with them when they were little. He was their "Grandpa" because both my dad, and Paul's dad died before they could remember.
Must go.
Hugs and love,
Trish
