Back to reality Monday

Good morning everyone.  Although I am retired I still have a routine to get back to.

I was enjoying myself all weekend and neglecting my house.  I started going through my clothes in my closet but just got thru the take everything out and try it on phases.  So I must do the put it back phase today.  My reality.  There is nothing else new in my world.

Well, damn this aging body of mine anyway.  Y'all know how easily my right shoulder can get messed up.  Yep, you guessed it.  That "crick in my neck" from night before last has turn into a totally blown out right shoulder.  DAMN.  I can barely move or turn my head this morning. So aggravating.  

I was up most of the night, trying to find a comfortable position to sleep.  And I took Advil by the threes.  I know I'm not supposed to, but I can't be up all night and still take care of Carrie and the baby all day.  The Advil doesn't take care of the problem.  It just masks the pain for awhile.  Stupid shoulder.

So that's my news for the day.  I'm not very happy with myself today.  I can report that I made it through yesterday without drinking a Coke, although I ate carbs like a fiend in order to compensate.  One addiction at a time . . . 

Hope everyone else is doing okay.  Linda, good luck with your closet project.  Always a big job.  You can do it!

Ouch!!!!!!  Nothing worse than not being able to move.  .  I never know what to use, ice or heat.  Hope you feel better.  You've got to be able to hold that cutie!

Vic...sounds like you need a trip to a Wellness Chiropractor and a good adjustment!!! That should make you better in a "snap" lol no pun intended...

Good morning Linda and everyone....

Linda...don't get buried in that closet!!

You asked me what kind of Cancer Nic has. He has Neuroblastoma....there is no cure. I have been praying for him all morning and will continue throughout the day. His testing is 7AM to 4 PM. I hate these visits but love them too. Without St Jude I don't know where we would be. Catching it early and doing what can to be done is the answer. I love my Nic so much. He is a great young man that is always positive and always busy. He definitely makes the most of every. 

Vickie...I am so sorry your are dealing with shoulder pain again today. I pray you feel better soon. 

As for me.... I will do my best to keep busy today. The sun is shining but deceiving. It is 18 degrees, feels like 7. I don't think I can walk outside today. Too cold for this old body. I will walk inside today.

I will check in as I can. If I get any updated I will post them.

Connie  So sorry Nic has had to deal with illness his entire life.  Praying for him.

Hope you were able to walk inside cause you are right cold index of 7 is really cold.

Vicki, So sorry your shoulder is hurting you so. Feel better soon, please. Soon you will be back in your own home an can soak in your beautiful bathtub. Try to take time to smell the flowers, slow down a bit. Love you dear.

Connie, our prayers and love go out to Nik regarding his tests. I send all my prayers and love. It will be fine. Regarding that cold, brrr. It is about 70 degrees here today. I would be a popsicle if I lived in MN. Stay WARM, please. Stay inside.

I have a sore throat, probably a sinus infection, again, and plan to see the doctor sometimes this week. I used to have them constantly, it seems like that is happening again. OH, well, time to start taking vitamins again. My former SIL Carla who was very ill, is leaving the hospital tomorrow. She will need to rest. She knows that. I hope she does. She loves to go and go and get things done.

Arlene  hope your throat feels better soon.  have you ever tried a netti pot.  I had something similar but easier to use.  It was a squeeze bottle.  Thought I was buying a Netti but it wasn't.  The name was similar but because I was looking for a Netti I cant remember what this one was.  It worked great.  You fill it with saline water and hold you head a certain way and squeeze.  Really cleans out the gunk.  I got it in the pharmacy section of my grocery store right next to the Netti Pot.  Good to hear your SIL is getting to go home.  Hope see doesn't have to delay the wedding.

Hi Ladies,

I had a good weekend. The play was really good. I ended staying another night at my dad's last night and came home this morning. I ate too much candy and paczki  yesterday. Today I'm back on track.

I got my new blinds today since the other ones  wouldn't open up. I met my new neighbor this afternoon.  Took my friend to the bank then I came home and exercise. 

For supper I will have my stuffed pepper soup. It was really good so I'll make that again.

My step mom sent  home with me soup she made like 6 different kinds and some squash. I got some easy meals now that are in the freezer.

Yvonne   Sounds like you not only enjoyed the play but the visit with you dad and step mom.  Coming home with food.  Reminiscent of college days.  I love stuffed bell pepper soup.  I need to make it again.  It has been awhile.
