TGIF Morning

Good Morning,

I am so blessed.  My neighbor across the street offered to do my driveway for me.  He told me to go rest my foot.  My sidewalks still need shoveled, but he cleared my ginormous driveway.

Kids don't have school again.  They've had off Wednesday, yesterday, and now today.  Back roads aren't clear yet.

I have to go out.  Not much.

I'll try to get back later.

Carla, sorry about the ulcer.  I've had them, before and after WLS.

Vickie, that pic of you and Caralee is adorable.

Must scoot.

Hugs,

Trish

Good morning Trish and all my sweet sistas,

Good grief, Trish!  You shouldn't be shoveling snow with your healing foot!  I am so thankful for your kind neighbor.  (And, frankly, I can't imagine having to shovel snow anyway!  How on earth do you manage to do that all winter?  Y'all have my complete admiration!  I'll take the triple digit heat in July and August over shoveling snow any day.  )

So, if I'm a little punchy today, it's because I had a miserable night.  One of those nights when you start to feel like your bed is a torture chamber.  LOL!  I fell asleep early and slept really hard for an hour or two.  Then I woke up and the rest of the night was a game of "too hot, too cold" with the covers.  And I have a headache this morning, too.  Ugh.  I miss my own home, my own bed, my own thermostat, etc.  Just a few more nights!  I can do this.

Yesterday we got out of the house and went antiquing.  Carrie used that baby wrap thingie (a bobba or baba or something) and Caralee did real well in it.  You know how crowded antique stores are.  No way you can push a stroller through one.  The only thing I bought was a little blue and white bunny creamer to add to my collection.  I looked at LOTS of pretty things and I even went so far as to inquire about getting a discount on a beautiful set of 10 depression glass goblets (pink globes with pale green stems--gorgeous!) and a set of pink and green glass cake stands, but cooler heads prevailed and I didn't buy them.  I WANTED them.  But where would I keep all of that?  Geez.  I need to build another closet at my house just for dishes.

So, anyway, I will survive without the pretty glassware.  LOL!  BUT, it occurs to me that I probably have enough little animal creamers to put one at each place setting for Easter.  But what shall I put in them???  Any ideas?  I thought if I serve a green salad, I could put salad dressing in each one.  Maybe do a fruit salad and put poppy seed dressing in each little creamer? Or if I serve a dessert, such as sponge cake, I could maybe put strawberry sauce in each one.  I would love to hear any suggestions!

Today we go back to the photographer to try again with Caralee's newborn photos.  Cross your fingers and swing those chickens.  She was good as gold all day yesterday.  Maybe she will be calm and happy again today.

Just four more days and we travel home to Schertz.  I am so ready.  I have missed my little fellas more than I can say.  Talked to Mom yesterday and she's more than ready for me to come home, too.  It's been a long month for everyone.

On the plus side, I managed to get through yesterday without drinking a Coke!  Go me!  I still ate too much sugar, but one step at a time.  My clothes are all too tight and this is just damn stupid of me.  I don't need to drink Cokes.  I don't need to eat sugar, either.  I got rid of that crap before my WLS and I can do it again.

Better close and go check on my girls.  Love you all!

Update:  Geez, I need to join DishAddictsAnonymous.  I have too much time on my hands and a computer.  Bad combination!  LOL!  I got on Ebay (always a mistake) and found three of the most adorable little creamers to add to my collection.  A horsey, a goat and a pig!  Oy vey!  So now I HAVE to put little animal creamers on my table for Easter.  At least I don't have to find cabinet space for the creamers!  I have them all out on display along the tops of my kitchen cabinets.

Somebody needs to stage an intervention for me!

Dear Vicki,

LOL Dish anonymous addicts. You to keep a nice house, and if dishes is one of your only obsessions, you are very sane. You are going to have a beautiful Easter table.

Hope things are going well with you at Carrie's. The picture of you and Ms. Caralee is beyond adorable. She is smiling. How beautiful she is. Love you, take care.

Oh geez I play that cover on cover off game also.  Nearly every night.  I often end up going to the guest room where I can turn the fan on full blast.  It drives me nuts.

Caralee is a little doll.  Save your dish money and buy stuff for her that won't have to live in your house.  I have so much stuff I need to get rid of.  I donate and it doesn't seem to make a dent.

Put jelly beans in your creamers

I love the idea of putting jelly beans in the creamers.

Hello Vickie....you showed great control over not paying the price they asked on that glassware. You will have a wonderful Easter without it!!

You asked someone to tell you to stop buying. I am here to say....STOP!

You need to remember all you got rid of to make more room for other things and to declutter.

You asked about ideas for your cute little creamers. You are on the right track. You can fill them with anything. You always come up with good ideas!! Ask Carrie what she thinks.

I LOVE YOU!!!

Wishing you a great rest of the day!!

Love and many hugs to you....connie d

LOL dear Connie,

I was thinking the same thing as you did. Our beloved Vicki got rid of so much when she moved, and now she is collecting. But an addiction is just that. And I think a dish addiction is a pretty mild one. It could be worse, like an addiction to expensive diamond jewelry.

Have a great day, dear. xoxoxo

I know, I know!  But I only bought 8 little salad plates and 3 miniature creamers.  I NEEEEEDED THEM!!!  LOL!
