Thursday Morning
I'm back.
I have Frankie here this morning. He played with cars, we read books, and played fetch with Utley. We also watched his favorite shows, Paw Patrol and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Colleen will be here soon to get him.
I didn't get my stroganoff made yesterday, so that's on the agenda today.
My foot is hurting today. I was on my feet most of yesterday, organizing, and rearranging my kitchen counters. Now, I have to rearrange, and clean out, my linen closet where I don't keep any linens. I store my cleaning supplies and personal care stuff in there. It hasn't been deep cleaned since I moved here.
Vickie, I have to tell you that Caralee is so adorable, and she looks so tiny in all those pictures.
Must scoot. Can't focus with Frankie here.
Hugs,
Trish

Good afternoon Trish and everyone.....
It sounds like you had a great morning with Franklin. He is so lucky to have you near!! I bet he really enjoys that special time together.
I hope you can get your stroganoff made today. That is so good!!!
You quit over doing things!! You did way too much yesterday. Please be more gentle with ourself today!
As for me..... I had that horribly long day at my clinic. I had blood draws, a mammogram, a wellness physical, and then an hour with my doctor and more of a physical.
Dr F was happy to see me. I was so worried about my weigh. I did gain, but only 3 pounds from our last visit. She thinks that it still has to do with that medication I was on. I hope it starts falling off again soon!! Of course I need to eat better, all the time!! I am working on that! She really went through all my meds and adjusted some, lower doses...YAY!!! I had a ton of blood taken. She showed me all the levels. I was scared!! Not one thing was off....that includes all my bariatric levels as well. She said to keep doing whatever it is I am doing!! She said, so many people don't take their vitamins and calcium and such. Then they start having all kinds of issues and wonder why. She made me happy about that. I am doing okay!!
We then started talking about my pain. She went through charts and all the things that have tried. All the pain clinics and PT and on and on. I have tried many kinds medications for this pain. As you know nothing is helping. She said I am getting no relief which means NOTHING is working. She said she can now justify that complete use of narcotics. She wants me to take two whole Vicodin a Day. One in the AM and one in the PM. She apologized that this wasn't done sooner. She had to absolutely verify that there was no medication available that would help. This is what I have been needing for a long time. I am praying that this and the 2 to 3 Flexeril a day will relieve the pain so I can live life again! I have only been taking 1/2 a Vicodin twice a day. I so hope this works!!!!
I hate the Fibromyalgia check ups. She pushes every trigger point to see where the pain is. A couple times I yelled and about flew off the table! I am very sore all over now. Time to go ice my body!!
Wishing you all a wonderful evening.
Prayers for our beautiful OFF Family and their families. Special prayers for those in need. Say a few for me when you can.
Loads of love and oodles of hugs to all....connie d
Hello Trish and all my sistas!
I can't believe it's already 2 p.m. My days just fly by. By the time I take care of me, take care of Carrie, do a little laundry or housework, fix some meals, and HOLD THE BABY, my day is half done!
But today my heart is back home with Christie and my little Benny Bop! Oh, my boy is so sick this week. Chris took him to the doctor on Tuesday with a croupy cough. Kept him home Tuesday and yesterday and this morning he's even worse. So she started called the doctor's office trying to get another appointment for today. GRRRR! Damn staff! They kept saying they were full today, etc. She FINALLY got past the staff and talked to the doctor about an hour ago, just before loading Benny in the car to go to the ER.
Not sure if Benny has walking pneumonia or what, but the doctor is prescribing the exact same medications for him at home that he would be getting in the hospital. If Benny isn't improving by tomorrow, then they'll admit him. But the baby's fever spiked to 104 earlier today! Chris gave him the baby tylenol and it came back down, but that's scary stuff. I wish I was there to help. Chris is a good mom and she won't let anything get past her--I know that. I just wish I was there to help her and Benny, too. And I miss my Budder Bean too.
Our little Caralee had her first spit up this morning! LOL! I know, TMI. Or maybe BFD. But you have to have a first time for everything. The good news is that Carrie's milk is coming in and we haven't had to fix any supplemental formula in over 24 hours. I'm trying to get Carrie to take a nap today. She's so tired. She needs to sleep while the baby sleeps.
Personally I could take a nap right now. LOL!
Not sure what I'm going to fix for dinner tonight. I'm tired of thinking up new things to cook! The impulse to fall back on some of my tried and true family recipes is strong today. Give me a pound of hamburger and a skillet and I can fix you 20 different meals in 30 minutes or less! LOL!
Trish, you take it easy on your foot. Rest it a day. The closets will wait!
Looking forward to hearing from everyone today. Love you all!
P.S. Here's today's pic of Caralee trying out her new swing. It's a little blurry because the swing was moving, but she just looks so tiny and sweet!
Hello Vickie....just want you to know how much I have fallen in love with little Caralee!! She is alert and so beautiful! What a great little swing! and I love her blanket!!
I see Caralee still likes sucking on her hands. She just always looks so content and happy!!
I am so sad that little Benny Bop is so sick. I hope the med they filled for him helps right away!! Please keep us posted. I am sending special prayers for benny and Christie too! She is a great mom and I know she will do what is best for Benny! Of course, I still am in love with Benny Bop and Budder Bean!!!!
I just came home from my 3 1/2 hours of appointments at the clinic!! Time to lay down for a little while.
You be sure to tell (from me) the girls how great a job they are doing with their babies!!! Two wonderful Mommy's!!
Much love and many hugs to all....connie d
