So she's not getting an epidural for the pain? They were not available in ancient times when I had my daughter. Tell her her cyber aunties are there with her in spirit.

So excited for you, Carrie and brand new Caralee. Wootttttt.

If she is going to get an epidural, tell her to do it soon because after five or six, they don't like to poke around on the laboring mom's back.  Once she gets to six, it will go fast but getting to six is a long and painful haul....Make them let you cut the cord.

Hi Vickie and my OFF family:

Swinging chickens for a safe delivery for Ms. Caralee. Tell Carrie she has all her OFF great-aunties around her urging her on. Sounds like she's making progress (although I know nothing really about these things ... having never done it). I'm excited for you and Carrie.

Nothing much going on here. It's cold and windy. Long night expected tonight at work. Good to hear some exciting news here. Gary got his first check from Enterprise for driving around the rental cars, so he was excited. He's doing his income tax. Hope he gets a refund. I know I'm going to have to pay ... there's a new little box on the W-2s that states the company contribution to health insurance and counts it as income. That added in to last year's income is making me pay instead of getting a refund. It's going to be a $459 tax bill, not something I can really afford. The state bill is just $5. I'm really kind of pissed. I've done this on two tax sites now and TurboTax gave me the best outcome. I went in this week and changed my withholding so this doesn't happen next year.

Well, that's all for me. Vickie, I know you'll keep us updated. Swinging lots of chickens, my shoulder's hurting. Come on down, Ms. Caralee!

Well, it has been 42 years, but I still remember well. Childbirth HURTS unless one is getting an epidural. In ancient times, when I gave birth, there was no such thing. And my daughter was 9 pounds 4 oz. I was clinging to the walls every time I walked. I took a lot of sitz baths.

Hugssss

Hi Eileen....I am so sorry you have to pay in on taxes again this year. I hope changing your withholding helps!

I am glad Gary is enjoying his job. I think that would be a good job to have. I hope Gary gets somewhat a refund back.

So sorry about the long night you are expecting tonight. If it has to be long I hope it goes smoothly!!

Love you...hugs....connie d

3 o'clock: eepidural is in.  She is still at 4 centimetres so they're going to up her pitocin dose. But she's much more comfortable now.

Vic,

That is good news...once they up the pit, the contractions will become more intense and that will wear her out...she still has a few hours left to go and that pain would keep her from having enough strength when she needs it the most....

Hey Vic,

How are you and Carrie doing? I know how hard it is to wait and wait and watch our girls labor for so long and often so hard...

I suspect, if labor is progressing, she is getting close to the last lag...maybe she is up to a 6 and after that, it will go quickly.

We are all rooting for her and for you. I cannot wait for you to have that baby in your arms and for your daughter to get some rest.

While you are thinking about it, drink some water.
