Happy Wednesday Everyone....
Good Afternoon everyone.....
It sure is quiet here today.
I hope Mary is managing okay. God Bless her and her dog too!
I am not feeling well. It is pain but I am also getting my driver's cold she came with on Monday. My throat is sore and I am coughing some too.
I am going to have to go for now. I am not sure if I will be back later to comment or not. I need to nap after Melissa is done cleaning.
Prayers for all our special OFF Family and their families.
Lots of love and oodles of hugs to all....connie d
Hi Connie,
Sorry you aren't feeling good today. Will keep you in my prayers.
For me nothing much going pn. A little tired right now but I don't want to take a nap so I can sleep tonight. I will be going to Bible study tonight.
Everyone have a good day. Thoughts and prayers for everyone.
Love and hugs,
Yvonne
Hey Connie and Ladies,
I am still at work, so I thought if I was going to post, I'd have to do it now. I, too, am thinking about Mary. I hope they get her set up with a place to live and the things she needs.
I had an incredible veggie patty for lunch and am still full from all the veggies I put on it. I am trying to do some walking, now that the cast isn't making me crazy and it amazes me how just a couple of weeks of light activity can set me back so far in my walking endurance. I am doing daily yoga but truthfully, other than that, I am sitting most of the day.
I know you all are busy but I hope you each drop in and give an update so we all know you are all doing okay. Also, tell me what you are doing so I can get motivated.
Knock knock.....let us in; huh Connie?
Hi Everyone!
Jazz is on her counseling appointment so I have a minute...
Today has been a pain. Needed to do a double run both in the am & pm because of all the new kids. The van only holds 16. A couple of the older teens on my first run refused to go in the building... too early for schoolg/treatment..ind you it was 830am! Alot of f bombs and defiance. I hate that crap.
My schedule has been over 40 hours due to longer runs the past week, CPR training, and maintenance on the van. Nice money, but I don't like not having free time. Up at 5am and to bed by 9-10 doesn't leave me much wiggle room, but I am grateful to be working.
So enough *****ing...so many of you have it worse between brokenbones, foot surgeries, constant pain, medical issues and sick siblings. And geez, Mary's crisis?
I think and pray for all of you daily.
Kathy
Kathy,
You have just as much to vent about as any of us and certainly comparing who has it the worst is subjective. I agree that Mary's situation is heartbreaking... Your schedule is hectic and stressful to say the least....take a few minutes to relax and meditate so that you won't over run your blood stream with all those stress hormones.....
Good evening sistas,
Sorry to be so late posting today. Just had a lot going on all day. Carrie is doing fine. Still preggers! LOL! She's been extraordinarily tired today. I think her body is prepping her for birth.
I will talk to her about the induction. I had induced labor with Carrie, so I know what it's like. It was really more a situation of scheduling ahead of time with the hospital. She hasn't 100% made up her mind to have induced labor. But her doctor thought it was a good idea to go ahead and reserve her spot. For some reason he is not very keen on letting his patients go very far past their due date.
So we got started hanging things on the nursery walls today. Still waiting on the crib to be delivered tomorrow and then I get to put it together. But it's starting to look very pretty and baby-like in the nursery. Carrie was very excited to see it finally pulling all together.
I lucked into a good buy on yarn at Michaels today. Y'all remember that I want to make an afghan for Carrie's friend, Nell, as a thank-you. Turns out Nell's favorite color is RED. Red yarn is kind of hard to find, but right now it's Valentines and Michaels had a terrific sale on yarn. I got all the yarn for just $14! If you knit or crochet, you know what a deal that is!
We are still eating vegetarian. Tonight's supper was baked sweet potato, broccoli with cheese sauce, and baked apples. Carrie can barely eat two bites at a time. Between her WLS and the baby taking up so much room, she just really has to eat small meals all day long. At least she has only thrown up once so far since I've been here. Thank goodness.
Well, time to sleep. Carrie went to bed an hour ago. I'm not too sleepy yet, but I need to get to sleep earlier tonight. I'm starting to get my days and nights mixed up. Last night I stayed up until 1 a.m. That's got to stop. I need to get on a better schedule before Caralee arrives.
Oh, I did start the preliminary steps to set up a Go Fund Me account for our Mary, but I'm waiting to hear back from her. The account is free to set up, and they only take a very small percentage of each donation. But i don't want to proceed without Mary's say-so. Praying for you, Mary! We're all anxiously waiting to hear from you again.
Love you all. Night-night sistas!
