Saturday - What's Up?
Judy... am so sorry to hear that Bonnie has decided to quit the dialysis. I can't blame her. It just comes to a time when you just have had enough. I will continue to pray for her as I always do.
How are you doing today? I have had you on my mind for a few days now. I am concerned. I know how all of this news is effecting you. Not only Bonnie's news but yours as well. Try your best to be positive but I know that is way easier said then done sometimes. Jesus is right there by your side. Keep believing in him.
Lots and lots of prayers for you my friend.
I love you...sending a bunch of hugs to you too.....connie d
Connie she hasn't given up there just isn't any more areas to put put the port to do the dialysis anymore when this leg is done. It is nothing but scar tissue now all through her body.
When she called I wanted to sock the brick building we were walking into with my fist...I wanted to scream as loud as I could...but I didn't. I fought back tears as I am right now.......
Good afternoon Mary and everyone.....
I am sad to know you are having more winter blues. I am sure that is a lot of it. You must have SAD as well. We so need some sunny days!! All we get now is and hour of two a day. I keep you in my thoughts and prayers every day!!
I hope Joe gets motivated and looks for a snowblower for you. I agree you really do need one. Maura may have to give him a reminder now and then!! This is a good time of year to be looking for snowblowers. People tend to shop for new ones at this time of year. Most companies offer good sales now. I hope it all works out for you!!
Yes...I agree limit the time that Taylor can be on her Tablet. Most kids would stay on them all the time if they could!! Gracie is 9 and she is limited on her time too. It is wonderful all the fun things you do with her. You are a good grandma!!
Let me know how you like your Instant Pot. I have been looking at them but so far that is all I do. At this time of my life I am trying to find things that are more helpful. Although I should keep weeding out instead of adding more to my kitchen!!!
Michael's is a really fun place to shop!! I used to spend hours in there. I was always making something!! They have such a good variety to choose from too!
Love you....hugs....connie d
Wow we are having quite a busy Saturday on OFF, aren't we? Judy, honey, I'm sorry to hear the news about your sister. I'm praying. And congratulations on Rick's new granddaughter. I guess. Family estrangements sure can be hard.
Things are really hopping and bopping here. Carrie hired the three sons of a friend of hers to come and clean her car. They have their music blaring and they're having a good time with the water hose, despite the freezing temps today. But it's good that Carrie's car is being cleaned thoroughly. All that dog hair and dander are in there, too.
I got the pack n play put together this morning. It wasn't too bad. But then I started on the crib and just had to quit. The screws are stripped out on it. I don't know if Mike did that when he took it apart or what, but I definitely am not putting my new granddaughter in that thing! So I told Carrie we'll just go to Babies R Us this evening and buy a new one. I wanted to buy her a new crib from the very beginning but I think she thought she was "taking" too much from me, money-wise, and she was trying to save me a few dollars by using Christie's old crib. I would rather just go buy a new one than try to repair the old one, you know?
I've been washing the baby's things all day and putting them away in the dresser and closet. Except for the crib we're getting pretty close to being ready.
As if all of this activity isn't enough, my best friend from childhood is coming through Waco this afternoon and wants to stop by for a visit. We don't get much face to face time because she lives in Dallas now (although we talk daily on messenger), so I'm excited to get to see her. But this day is really busy. I'm sure she has a present for the baby that she wants to drop off.
The farmer's market was damn COLD this morning! LOL! I ended up having a bean and cheese huarache (like a burrito) for my breakfast. It was good. And it was HOT--which was the most important thing! LOL! I also bought some cinnamon rolls, but what with all the company and activity, Carrie and I haven't had those yet. They looked and smelled heavenly this morning!
I guess that's about all the news. I told Carrie that the baby has to hold off for another 48 hours, and then we'll be ready and she can come whenever! Tomorrow we'll finish up the nursery and hang all the sweet little pictures and things on the walls. After that, I imagine I'll be twiddling my thumbs all week waiting for her to arrive.
Love you all! Always so happy to come here and read about your lives. OFF is my happy place!
Good afternoon everyone....
I can't believe how fast this day has gone. I have just been puttering around doing a little of this and that. I reorganized my freezer. I needed to take a serious inventory. I have way too much in there.
I am concerned about Cindy P. They were suppose to have rain and 70-75 mph winds today. She lives on the coast. I usually hear from her by now. I hope they are okay.
Gracie called me this afternoon. She sounds so much better. She can't wait to get Stormy. She is so excited about that old bear!
Nothing much else to talk about. My life is boring. I like it that way! I was constantly on the move most of my life. It feels good to sit back and enjoy my time now.
Has anyone heard from Cindi ? Is she still with her mother? I haven't seen her on here since she was going to her mother's.
I need to nap...I didn't get much sleep last night.
Prayers for all our wonderful OFF Family and their families. Special prayers for those in need.
Have a great evening...much love and oodles of hugs....connie d
