Thursday Morning Hello

I am early this morning.  I am usually bringing up the rear.  Having breakfast as I type.  I know...not a good habit.  I have a lot of those not good habits.  This morning while I am feeling reasonably well I am going to the court house to clear up a question on my tags for my new car.  I understand from the DPS that I can not reuse my old tags because they are handicapped ones.  I could not make the dealer understand this and he insisted I could.  Claimed they did it all the time.  The DPS does nothing else but he knows better.  I want to be sure I am not charged twice for plates and that I don't get regular plates in error.  I have all my ducks in a row and since I have handicap plates there is a special line I have to go to.  All in all much shorter than the normal one.  Should be easy.....famous last words.

I hope all of you have a good day and that those with aches and pains have a day with fewer or none of the pesky critters.

Good morning Linda and my sistas!

Linda, I hope you are feeling better today and that things go well with getting your new tags.  Bureaucracy can be maddening to deal with.

My lake house officially went on the market yesterday.  The pictures are up today.  Here's the link if you want to look at it: http://becker-realtors.com/idx/mls-1157923-800_lakeview_loop _canyon_lake_tx_78133

I am moving pretty slow this morning.  Got a haircut at 1 p.m.  I need to get it SHORN this time, since I really don't anticipate having much time for a haircut again in the next couple of months.

Then I want to run by that children's resale shop that I like.  I need to pick up a couple more 0-3 month size stretchy pants for Caralee. We laid out all her clothes, thus far, on the bed and she has a LOT of size NB or 0-3 month.  I have already bought little pants in lilac, purple, bright pink, and grey.  But she still needs pale pink, aqua, and navy to go with all the little onsies and things she's already received.  Silly to buy more tiny size clothes, but it will be too cool for her to wear those onsies without the little pants.  Hopefully I can pick them up for just a dollar or two a pair.

I still feel badly for not being at Carrie's Waco baby shower tomorrow, but I did wrap all my presents yesterday and left them at Carrie's house.  I did get her a Roomba.  That's a big surprise for her, and yeah, it's kind of a strange baby shower gift, I suppose.  But she NEEDS it to keep the dog hair and dander at bay so the baby doesn't get sick or get allergies.  So I bought it for her.

But I also went over to Dillards and bought some really sweet baby things in size 3-6 month.  Six months from now it's going to be HOT HOT HOT in Texas!  I really had to think ahead when I was picking things out.

I am still waging war on the ticks, but the good news is that the Bug-A-Meister (it's a German community here--what can I say?) is coming tomorrow to DESTROY the little buggers!  Hooray!

Well, I need to go shower and figure out what to do with my time today.  I'm thinking sewing, but you never know.  And I think I'm babysitting the boys this evening, too.

Love you all!

Congrats on getting you lake house listed.  It is lovely.  Exactly where is Canyon Lake?

I am sure Carrie will love her Roomba, if not send it to me I'd love one of those.

Sounds like you are organized and ready to go.  I have two grandsons and I love them to death.  I also got my grand daughter last and she is the cat's meow.  I have fun with her.  The boys are so in to sports and their friends they don't have time to play with Nana but the girl is always very happy to see me.

Enjoy your day whatever you decide to do.

Linda,

Canyon Lake is halfway between Austin and San Antonio, just to the west of New Braunfels.  It's a really fun area of the Hill Country, especially if you like water sports or tubing.  We had a lot of fun living there.

I ordered this Roomba from Amazon.com.  Not only was it a better price than Best Buy, etc., but I got an additional $80 off by applying for the Amazon.com credit card!  Too good a deal to pass up!

Vickie, we gave my son a Roomba 880 for Christmas. He loves it and has surprised me how well it does. He has 2 big dogs that shed a lot. I also have the Amazon Visa. Every time you order or use it you get rewards that can be redeemed on any of your orders.

We are on way to hospital in Atlanta so I'm on my iPhone.

Hi Susan,

I hope all is well with your grandson.  I assume that is why you are going to Atlanta.

I have a Roomba (forget the number) and have had it about 4 years.  That little thing is wonderful!  You do have to run it every day for it to be really effective, but I love it!  It keeps all the dog hair picked up (I have 3 dogs in the house) and that, to me, is worth every penny!

I really lucked out with the Amazon Visa.  I had it for years, but it was a joint account.  I had to close it after Butch died, and I just had never reopened it.  So I did and I got the big $80 discount!  Hooray!

Ladies,

I am pulling up the rear again. Well, I got a call from the ortho guy today and he saw me early this morning.  He did another X-ray and put a walking cast on and said he thinks it will heal but he didn't think the brace would provide me with enough support or would it immobilize the bones...so now I am carrying around a big assed cast...blue, which is kind of nice. He said he would remove it in a week and do another good examination and X-ray it and if all is well, I could have the brace back.

Did I tell you guys I broke my left hearing aide?  Well, I couldn't get the damn thing out of my ear and the little stubby thing I pull on to remove it broke off so I pulled on the wire that goes into the receiver thing and damn thing broke. I spent about ten minutes trying to get the thing out of my ear.  We took it to the hearing aide guy and he fixed my transmitter up with a part time receiver and he is sending mine off to be fixed...fortunately, it is under warranty.

I am ready for the last of the bad luck to hit.

Well, I am going to color for a bit and then hit the sack....good night ladies...sleep well.
