Good Morning OFF,

I need to go get Utley.

I'm back.

Running behind this morning.  Overslept a little.  Just moving too slow, given I have to be at my therapist's office in an hour.

Still have work to do in the house, and waiting to hear from my ortho surgeon's office.

Dealing with a sinus headache that just hit me like a wave.

Must scoot.

So glad Connie checked in, and is doing a little better.  We love you Sweet Connie.

Hugs,

Trish

Good evening Trish and everyone!!!

I had a busy morning. Calls and appointments to set up.

Fran was here at 12:30. We had a couple errands to go to before grocery shopping. We fit a light lunch in between there. As usual I hit the wall about three. Pain from head to toe. But, my head is clear and I can walk with my cane. It is the weather causing the pain. The temps dropped and snow finally stopped. It is so damp and cold out there!!

I really have no more energy to post. Thank you all for the kind words.

I need to lay down for now.

Prayers for our wonderful OFF family and their families.

Lots of love and many hugs to all....connie d

Good morning, everyone:

Well, after a very long sleepless night, I am now mobile but feeling sluggish. The clouds are dark and we have high winds and some rain thought the temps are, indeed, above freezing...but the grey skies do not help me feel chipper and energized at all.

I had a nice dinner at Red Lobster with a long time friend..we go back over 35 years yet never seem to run out of things to talk about...3 hours later, we had to head home. I love this lady but, despite being a nurse, she can be such an airhead. This was our annual Christmas get together and we exchange gifts, albeit late, but this is just another thing that we laugh about. What puzzles me, especially NOW, was that part of her Christmas package for me was a HUMUNGOUS box of chocolates! This box, lovely as it is, is now sitting in the kitchen while I decide what to do with it...my "mouth" wants to open the box, it remains sealed. My head tells me to use it as a door prize at one of my workshops.

Perhaps a nap is in order once my prescribed "water pills" (to ease the pain of the pressure in my lymphodemic legs) settle down...right now I am running to the "lil ole shack out back" every seven minutes. Then another "easy dinner" for JB as I have our Sorority Dinner Meeting this evening.

I have just confirmed ticket sales at the winery for my COLOUR ME HAPPY workshop on Thursday and also confirmed my chocolate order at the Chocolate Factory for 30 women that I can pick up tomorrow on my way to the print shop and then to attend my Business & Professional Women's Club of Niagara's dinner Meeting. On the way, I must stop at a DOLLARAMA and buy several new pencil sharpeners as well.

Sending loving and healing energy to all, I am ready fopr that nap now...

Hi Trish and my OFF family to come:

I too slept in. I wanted to get to the Y today, but it's dreary here and I didn't get to bed until after 3:30 a.m. ... I did sleep in my recliner for awhile, though. I just couldn't get out of bed. I guess I just needed the sleep. No excuse, though. I need to get back in the routine. My body just isn't feeling good. I have a headache, backache ... all over ache. I am planning to go to see "Bridge of Spies" for $1.50 at our cheap theater. I've been wanting to see it and the cheap theater finally got it, so I'm going ... once I get done here, I'm headed for the shower to get ready. The show is at 12:20 p.m. and I need to get some money, too.

Right now I have an ice pack on my back and a cup of coffee. Gary started his new job this morning so I have the place to myself. I'm sure Gary is happy he doesn't have to put up with "General Hospital" and "Grey's Anatomy" anymore. He really hates "Grey's Anatomy."

I'm happy for my weekend. Last week was a bear. The early deadlines because of the snow (a whole five inches!) took a toll on me. The past two days, I have been in so much pain. After today, I'm not doing much. I plan to get some groceries today and make chili tomorrow. I've been craving chili.

Have a good day. Got to get to the shower and get ready to go.

Trish and Ladies,

I am coming in late but did want to drop in and say hello.  I worked non-stop all day and finally around 3:30, I stopped to eat my lunch and saw how late it was and decided to just wait until I got home.

For dinner I made a new veggie pattie that has a pinto bean base.  I used the beans I cooked the other day but I suppose you could use a can of refried beans. I smashed the beans up and added some bell pepper, onion, garlic, a little whole kernel corn, a little cornmeal in place of bread crumbs and a beaten egg...I mixed the ingredients together and made some little patties with it and then sprinkled a little more corn meal on top and put it in the oven to cook for about 20 minutes, covered.  Oh, in the mix I added taco seasoning to give it that tex/mex taste and we will eat them on those really flat bread buns with avocado and picante sauce as the condiments of choice.  They are smelling pretty dang good.  I make my own vegetable patties and if they don't taste good, I can heat up one out of the freezer. I can cook just about anything and if I cannot master making some vegetarian dishes, I will need to hang up the frying pan.

Well, ladies, have a good evening.

Hi sistas. Bringing up the rear. Oh so tired but we got a lot done today.  I finally feel like we might get the nursery ready before the baby gets here. Carrie's guy friends were so sweet and helpful and got all that heavy furniture moved in and out and around for us. So next week the heavy duty cleaning crew comes in and then we can finalize everything.

I wish I could share the ultrasound pics of Caralee today. Oh she was so sweet! Chewing on her little fingers the whole time and chubby little cheeks!  She weighs six pounds now. Can't wait to hold her!

Well I'm pooped. Going to bed just as soon as Fixer Upper is over.  At least I now have a really good bed to sleep on here.  Can't wait to try it out. Love you all!
