Sunday...hoping everyone is home and safe-
Cindi...thank you for the advice...there are many improvements at this point in my journey...i just don't understand why getting to the other side has been harder...
In reference to your mom I feel so bad for you. The stress of worrying and caretaking long distance is overwhelming. I recall being very frustrated with the medical system as a whole when my dad was ill. I really hated the quality of care he received once diagnosed with dementia. Most of the drs, nurses, hospital staff, etc. would not even address him personally during out patient visits or hospitalizations. They would direct everything to me as if he was a child. They also misdiagnosed the progression of his dementia...they would ask him 20 questions to determine his mental status and even with half wrong pronounce him okay!!!
I hope your mom receives good treatment and this does not drain you physically and emotionally. I think an I'll spouse, parent or child are one of the most challenging and stressful things we can experience in life. I still feel like I have PTSD 12 years after dad passed.
My thoughts and prayers are with you...
Kathy
