Happy November!

Good morning sistas!

I trust we are all feeling the good effects of an extra hour of sleep today! I made it all the way to 6:30 a.m. and was feeling pretty happy about it, until I realized that I forgot to set my clocks back last night! But still, that was the first full night's sleep I've had in a couple of weeks. I feel better today because of it.

Did everyone have a nice Halloween? I was busy all day long. I babysat the boys during the day, then had about an hour or so of down time before Trick or Treat started. I was really surprised that we didn't have more Trick or Treaters here. This is a big family neighborhood. But I finally decided that most people went to the carnivals and festivals at the churches first and then came home to trick or treat. Our foot traffic was really starting to pick up around 8 p.m., but then it started to rain. Anyway I gave away about half the candy I bought, so we have lots and lots of treats for Mimi's treat jar for the next few months.

Here's a pic of my little goblins. Budder absolutely refused to wear his costume. LOL! Little stinker. I was a Mimi cat! Budder was afraid of me at first. I think it was the eyebrows! LOL!

I am very thankful for this day of rest today. I feel beat up after last week. Not sure what I will do today. I'm thinking I might make a Forget-Me-Not Bear for one of the boys today. And we have to go to the store. We're almost out of everything.

We didn't have any trick or treaters at all. I have a Hugh bag of tootsie rolls! I'll take it to the crosstitch shop on Tuesday.

I need to go to Walkgreens today. I'm out if my medicine.

I had to call AMX I don't know why Groupon is making purchases on my AMX. I haven bought anything on there in months. All of a sudden 80.00 in charges are showing up since yesterday showing I bought things when I was in the hospital. I didn't even have my credit card with me!! I wasn't even looking at groupon!!

So all is well!

Hello Carla....tootsie rolls are my favorite!! I wish I lived near you I would have been there for those!!!!

So many places now have special Halloween fun. Trunk and Treat seems to be all across the USA. There is always a special all afternoon/ evening place at the college here every year. It is almost more like a fair. They have tons of games and fun for kids. It is safe and they get plenty of treats and prizes as well. There are other places like the Armory that hosts Halloween as well. Being that it gets so cold and usually wet around here at this time of year, this is a good answer for everyone.

I would be crazy if I saw a account of mine with charges on it that weren't mine. Someone took your number from the account and is having fun!! Please call it in if you haven't already!!

Hello Vic and Carla and the rest of you Lovely Ladies,

We didn't have one single trick or treater. I bought a small bag of candy and by ten when no one knocked on the door, I texted my neighbor and said come get the candy. She loves candy and can eat it all day long and never gain a pound.

Vic, I am so glad you got a good night's sleep. Sometimes our bodies just say to hell with it and rest comes. I, too, slept long and hard and when I woke up, DH was up, the cats were up, and when I looked at the clock it was 8:00...I rarely ever sleep that late. I still haven't made coffee or eaten any breakfast so I really need to get my rear end in gear. DH said he made himself some cottage cheese...bless his heart; he had to open the container and dip it in the bowl. But he did say he could eat some eggs if I want to cook.

I swear, I don't know how our house goes from spotless to looking like a tornado hit it when it's just the two of us here. But, there's a two blankets on the living room floor, a clothes basket, and a pair of men's shoes, and four water bottles around his chair....he is helpless...really helpless. I want to fuss at him but why? By now, he is so set in his ways that fussing will only upset me and I just don't want today to be spent with me being angry so I am going to step over his mess. I will pick it up later but right now I just want to leave it and maybe he will see it and do something...if I were a gambler, I'd not bet on that. LOL.

Vic your babies look so cute. My granddaughter went as one of those disney princesses and of course the two older boys are way too old for that sort of thing. But they sure do get into her candy. Last year, they ate all of her good stuff, so this year, I bought five big bags of good stuff and told my daughter to give each a bag and use two for the kids that come to her house trick or treating. They live out in the country in our old house and this year, they took my granddaughter's and youngest grandson's friends on a hayride. They have two horses that pull a wagon pretty safely and they loaded the wagon up with hay and took the kids on a haunted hay ride...friends and parents of the kids hid along the way and of course jumped out and scared them and then at the end, they had a huge fire and they roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. The kids texted that they had so much fun. It really doesn't take much does it?

Well, I guess I need to make my coffee now. Ladies, have a good day.

Me again, Jeannie....I am picturing you stepping over all your hubby's junk....little you...be careful and don't fall!!! You are right...too late to change his ways now!!

It was nice of you to be sure your granddaughter had plenty of the good stuff this Halloween!!! Boys...they just do it without thinking...they would have a fit if it was the other way around and she ate all their favorite things!!

What a fun thing to do...gather everyone for a hayride!!! I would love to be sitting out there roasting hotdogs and marshmallows!!! I am not a hotdog eater but there is something special about them roasted outside on an open fire...I have to have one!!!

First of all thank you again for the lovely reply you sent me on my post on yesterday's thread. I know how much you care about my Nic and me!!! I just needed to talk about it. It just took the wind right out of my sail!!! I feel better this morning. I spoke with Nic again just a little bit ago. I told him about the replies you and Judy had sent. He never forgets who you are even though he has never personally met you. There are many friends on here that he is truly grateful for and all the love and prayers he has received. I am grateful too!!!

That little Budder is a stinker....he is his own person...if he didn't want to wear a costume so be it!! I swear he is going to run this country one day!!! Benny is adorable as always!!!! You look great Mimi Cat!! I kept looking and trying to figure out what was on your nose. Then I finally saw the whiskers...that made me laugh. I love your hair like that. You look so good!!!

I truly hope today is a restful day just for you!! Those bears are just the cutest!!! I love everything you sew!! I love you!!!

As for me.... my neighbor down the hall from me, Miriam and I are going out for a couple hours today. I called and arranged the bus service for us. Target is only a couple miles away. It will be fun just looking around and enjoying the time away together!!

I wish I could have been on the good sleep list today. I was up wandering my apartment until about 5 AM. I did a lot of talking with GOD. I finally was able to sleep and felt well rested when I woke up at 10:00 AM. I hope to go to bed right after "The Walking Dead" tonight. It is over at 9 PM. I plan on being in bed at 9:01PM!!!!!

I need to shower and get ready for the day. I will be back!!

How did I miss the sad news about Nic. Girl, I am so so so sorry. I know he has been such a joy to you and you to him and he has fought so hard. I hope he gets a new strength to continue the fight and I know you will be right by his side. I am so sorry. I will be sending both Nic and you all of my positive thoughts. You have been such a support system for all of us and now we are here for you. Please, no matter what time it is, you know we are here. I wish you lived close to me and I would come make sure you are doing okay.

Nic was very positive this morning. He like me needed to just get it out to someone. He knows he can count on me!!! Yes, he is my everything!! Than you for all the wonderful thoughts and kindness you always have for my family!!!!

Nic sounded great this morning. He is making plans to be here around Thanksgiving holiday for maybe even a week!!! He already called Carrie about bringing me there for Thanksgiving. He and I are working out a plan for me to get to Iowa for Christmas!! He wants lots of time with his Nana!!!! What a wonderful grandson!!!

I wish I lived near you too...I would love that!!

Afternoon OFF family....well last night I did go to Bingo...and I WON!!!!!! I am now $81.00 richer!!! WOOHOO!!!!! LOL

Woke up this morning and my left arm is killing me again...I am praying its not going to be another frozen shoulder!!!!!!! Yes it is the same one!!! I have been moving it around like crazy and it is painful!!!!!!!! It is right in the muscle area where it hurts!! Not sure if that chiro doc did something or not...I hate that one anyhow!!!! He probably did!!!!! GRRRRRR Matt will be there in the morning so I will be seeing him!!!

Need to call mom yet today...always call her on Sunday's. Always. Unless I have something else to talk about that can't wait...lol.

Another tenant that used to live here died. They are still paying rent but live in nursing home. They still have things in their apartment so they have to pay rent til they get it cleaned out. This will be the 4th month now I think its been without them in it...shame on their family for not getting them moved out!!!

Rick made some pizza roll ups this morning...they are ok but not enough cheese in them for me...kind of dry. Now he wants to make his spaghetti...ummm yuck. I get sick on his spaghetti and its been how many years and he still doesn't get that????? SIGHS......... SMH!!!!!

Well he is wanting to go to the store for his ingredients...BLAH....lol

Sorry you lost another tenant. I hope they get the things out of that apartment soon. They must like spending money that isn't theirs!!

I would may my own spaghetti sauce and let him do his own!! Maybe then he will get it...probably not...LOL!!!
