It's Thursday I think!!!
Hello Jeannie....sorry your allergies are driving you crazy. Your area needs to have a good freeze and those allergies will go away!! It has helped some here.
I am so glad that your MS flare up is finally settling down. You deserve a break! Food allergies must be tough. I can't even imagine. You must have to really read labels carefully.
Have a good night....I am going to sleep soon.
Love you....hugs....connie
Afternoon OFF family...
Carla...STAY HOME AND REST!!!!!!!!!! GOOD GRIEF!!!!!!!! Give your body the rest it needs to heal for a change!!!!! You are ALWAYS on the go....STOP AND REST!!!!!!! Not trying to be mean or anything but just want you around for long time!!!! HUGSSSSSSSSS
Connie hope you made it through your testing OK...HUGSSSSSSSS
Jeannie...you be careful with that shrimp!!!!
OMG!!!!! That Amber alert that was out today...they caught the guy not far from our area!!!!!! Thank GOD that little girl is OK!!!!!!!! The ******* is behind bars!!!!!!! He killed the mother/wife and took the little girl....just after the alert came out a man saw the car and called 911!!!!!!
Well TWO more tenants gave notice to move out today!!!!! Why? Because they are going to be getting kids to care for and need larger places to live!!! The mother of these kids is a real winner! I think she has like 5 or 6 kids all different fathers...SMH!!!!!! Far as I know she has no clue this is going to happen yet...so right now 3 of my tenants are moving to take some of her kids!!!!! What a POS she is!!!!!!! From what I have heard the only food these kids get is free breakfast at school and the lunches. Nice huh? She doesn't feed them!! The one boy is I think 8 years old and only weighs about 40 pounds!!! So sad!!!!!!
Halloween party tomorrow for the tenants...I am making a meatloaf in the shape of a ghost...lol they bring the rest of the dishes to eat...we are having a costume contest also and then playing bingo for white elephant prizes. I also have one game of how well do you know pumpkins. I took the test and omg I don't know jack!!!!!!!! LOL
Just had a call another tenant is in the hospital with pneumonia...hope she makes it ok..she is old and also copd and on oxygen 24/7. Sweet woman!!!!
Well better get my supper...left over fried chicken and squash...yummmmmmmmmm then I am drinking my Bahama mama drink!!!!!! Yup I am drinking tonight!!!!!!
Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!!!
HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Judy: It makes me ill that people have children and don't care enough about them to nurture them and love them. That woman is a loser with a capital "L". Someone should call the authorities on her.
I'm sorry you are facing so many move-outs. I know that it takes a lot of work to get those apartments filled.
What's a Bahama Mama? (I know it's a drink -- but what is in it?)
Well, I'm waiting for the vet office to call. Our puppy doesn't seem to be 100% over his last flare up.
Cindy P.
Cindy, this IS why her kids are going to be taken away from her...she is TRASH!!!!!!! Only interested in SEX and herself!!!!! Authorities DO know...oh yeah they know!!!
The Bahama Mama is Rum, Tequila, some kind of juice and not sure what else doesn't say on the can...lol all it says is ****tail in a can...its strong is all I know. Not fond of it at all...Rick said it was good...YUCK. He can have it. I will find something else to drink...MAYBE.
Almost time to lock up...need to be able to walk so stopped drinking...lol
Hope your fur baby is ok...I know how you feel when he isn't feeling good...I worry also about mine when he isn't feeling good.
HUGSSSSSSSSS
Hello Judy.....I am so glad they caught that man!!! That poor traumatized little girl.
Don't your tenants have to give at least a month's notice before they leave?? If they leave early don't they still have to pay the rent in their lease???
That woman is abusing her children!! It isn't the kids fault what that ***** they call mother does to them. I am sure she gets money each month for each kid. People like that really disgust me! I feel sad for the children. Yes she is a POS!!!! I hope someone has reported her for the children's sake.
WoooHooo...Halloween Party tomorrow!! I love White Elephant prizes. I have gotten some pretty cool things like that!! I want to make meatloaf this weekend. I have been so hungry for it. I never remember it unless you mention it!! When you cook for one...I just think small. Meatloaf freezes well.
I hope the resident with the pneumonia gets better quickly. That poor lady!! I am praying for her.
Pumpkin quiz....hmmmm...you should post it for us to take...LOL!!!
Have fun tomorrow....love you.....hugs....connie d
Hi Carla and my OFF family:
Good idea, Carla, take away the keys from him. Time for him to stop driving. We had to take away the keys from mom after she fell because she couldn't turn the wheel (and wouldn't try to move her arm). We sold her car and she complained. But she wasn't going outside anyway. Of course, she's 91 and Carl's much younger. But don't let him drive anymore.
I'm taking a mini break at work because I'm waiting for the obits to come in (that's my job tonight, or part of it. I have to do the local pages, and they contain obits****il they come in, I can't do much because I have to wait to see how much extra room I have on the jump page.
Last night, after the World Series got over, I was in severe pain. I could barely move. My back hurt so badly. Don't know what ticked it off. Honestly, I'm getting pissed that these shots aren't working. I know they can take some time to take effect but I'm getting nothing. I had pain going down my left side. I took a percocet I had leftover from when I broke my pinkie and a Flexeril, laid down on my back with an ice pack on my bed and tried to get it to unkink. I felt better this morning, but after the Y it started up again. I thought exercise was supposed to be good. I'm not doing anything strenuous ... it's water exercise and it's the arthritis class, the low impact class. No bouncing.
Well, the Waikiki meatballs were a hit and there's a little left over. I had some for lunch today.
Not much else happening. I should get back to work. Have a good night.
Hello Eileen....It is very hard giving up a car. It hurt but yet I was relived. I gave up my car at 64...it was the best thing I did for everyone. Yes... there are times I want to get in my car and drive to who knows where.....I would probably get in trouble doing something....this is for the best....I can't hurt any one else. I think Carla knows that as well. She will do the right thing. Age has nothing to do with the time that we quit driving. Each person is different.
I am so sorry for your pain. Are you getting Radio Frequency shots or just epidurals?? I am almost two years since I had those Radio Frequency. In the last few month's my back has gotten really painful again. I don't want to go again but I might have to. I hope your back is better soon.
I really hope you do give up that recipe for the meatballs...YUM!!!
Have a good night...love you....hugs....connie d
Here's the link to the recipe.

Too hard to copy and paste it in. I have been making this recipe since I was in college. I made it the first time when I roomed with my college friends Roxane and Debbie in the rooming house and we made it for a weekend dinner, I think (or maybe relatives were up, I can't remember ... I know it wasn't my parents, we went out when they were down from Chicago). It's a classic. I also make fried rice from the Betty Crocker book, but I couldn't find the exact recipe online, so I did the best I could from memory. I threw in too much soy sauce... amazingly, it wasn't too salty. It has eggs in it, too.
