Monday, Monday
Good Morning. I slept in the LR in my recliner last night. Just couldn't sleep in bed for some reason. I woke up a lot and finally got up and going at 5 a.m. The dog has gone potty and eaten so we should be good for a couple of hours. I'm thinking I may just start a batch of beans early this morning.
Have an appointment for a consult at the sleep center. I'm thinking my sleep apnea might have come back with all the weight I've gained. We'll see what they say but I'm guessing I'll be having a sleep study in the near future.
Hubby doesn't have a migraine this morning. Yay. You never know with all the weather changes what will happen with his headaches. I still wish he'd see a neurologist but he feels like he's already done that several times over (which he has). But, new treatments are being developed all the time and I'm always hopeful that someone will be able to do something for him.
I wish you all a good day today.

Cindy,
I didn't sleep well last night either. I woke up about every two hours, looked at the clock, and went back to sleep...finally at 4:30, I just got up....no sense trying to go back to sleep. That is unusual for me but I think mine had more to do with just hurting.
I am so glad your husband doesn't have a migraine. Yeah!
Good morning Cindy and Jeannie,
Well, for once, I slept pretty well last night. Go figure.
My BIL and SIL were supposed to come today, but are waiting to come tomorrow instead. HURRAY! I feel like I have been given a reprieve. I don't have to go out to that damn lake house today. Instead I can stay home and do more sewing. It truly is my escape right now.
Today I would like to try making a baby nest. What's that, you say? I found it on Pinterest (natch) and it looks marvelous. Carrie can put the newborn baby next to her on the bed, or in the crib, or just about anywhere. Here's the pic:
Isn't that cute? I'm excited to try it. I love to copy things off Pinterest!
I also have some pesky bookkeeping things to deal with this morning. And I still need to go to the bank and see about exchanging that $100 bill.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day. Cindy, so glad your hubby doesn't have a migraine this morning. Have y'all ever tried acupuncture? Chris has migraines. When she was pregnant with her oldest, she was having them constantly. We didn't want her to take the drugs, so we tried acupuncture and it worked! She didn't have another headache for TWO years!
Love you all!
Vickie: The baby nest looks like a very clever idea. Can't wait to see pics of the one you make.
Hubby has tried acupuncture. He got relief during and immediately following a treatment but often had a migraine later the same day. It just didn't work very well for him. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Huh! Well, I won't call it an epic fail, because it's not, but mine sure didn't turn out like the one in the picture! I blame it on the directions. LOL! They were in German, and I used Google Translator.
Anyway, I think it's pretty cute and mine makes a heart shape. (Don't ask me why it won't pull into an oval like the one in the picture. I DON'T KNOW!!!)
I think it will work just fine. And it can be relaxed as baby grows a bit. It's just supposed to be for newborns, anyway.
Cindy, see the white fabric? That's minky dot. I used gray and white polka dot flannel for the outside and the pure white minky dot for the inside. I love white for little babies! It reminds me of angels.
Do y'all think people would order these? I already have several orders for the memory pillows! And several people have asked about the bears, too!
I'm tired of sewing for this day. Going to kick back and watch the news, then take the puppies for a walk. It's a gorgeous fall day here.
Love you all!
Vickie: I love the baby nest you made and the fabrics look so soft and cozy. I think it will get lots of good use. I do think people would order them and the bears and memory pillows as well. In fact, I love the bear in the pic above. You are so talented. I am just amazed that you could whip these things up with minimal direction. Of course, I can't sew a stitch so to me your ability is magical and special.
