Senior moment Sunday
Good Afternoon Ladies --
I'm back from NY - had a wonderful time at the wedding. FIrst time in several years that all four of my brothers and I have been all together. My oldest brother had the photographer take pictures of all of us together and he'll send copies - I'll try to post them when I get them. My youngest brother and I hadn't been on speaking terms for a while, but we dropped our ill feelings - we both agreed life is to short to let bad feelings over something that happened years ago to come between us.
Maura did all the driving - it was so nice to be sitting in the passenger seat of a car -- does not happen often. Even so, I was tired when we got home, and went straight to bed for a nap, so I'm well rested. Now I can stay awake for Walking Dead!

Last post of the night. I made three memory pillows today. They were a learning experience. Chris wanted her pillow made out of an old knit (stretch) shirt that Butch wore all the time. I told her I didn't think the fabric would work very well for a pillow, and I was right. I got it made, but I won't make another one out of stretch.
Then I tried two sizes for Carrie's pillow and my pillow. The button up shirts are MUCH easier and go together pretty fast. The red one is 14" and the blue plaid is 18". The 14" is the best size. I'm learning.
I did personalize them with photos and little sayings. Butch and the girls always played a little game. Butch: "I wanna ask you something." Girls: "I LOVE YOU!" I know. It doesn't make sense to anyone but us, but it means a lot to the girls, and that's what counts. So I put that on their pillows.
The thing he always used to say to me was: "I love you too much." So I put that on my pillow.
Good night sweet friends. Talk to you tomorrow.
Vickie,
The pillows are absolutely precious. You are so thoughtful, and I am sure the girls will cherish then forever.
Love you
