Happy Wednesday Morning.....
Good morning Connie and OFF-
Connie I'll be thinking of you today. I'll be in your shoes soon.
Kathy congrats on puréed foods. Don't forget to chew, chew, chew. Glad the doctor wants to check to INR weekly for a while. Rapid weight loss can screw up lots of medications. I had to lower dosages on several of my mess as I was losing g weight. You may need an adjustment on your a fib mess or BP melds to counteract the fatigue. Definately mention it to your PCP or cardiologist.
making progress with the unpacking. Started rolling up a carpet that just will not work where I thought it would. Need to get it out of the way so I can finalize furniture layout in the family room.
Carla based on your Facebook post you might be home tonight. Eileen I'm happy you weren't working last night for the series game you would have had a lot of waiting time. Trish hope your getting everything worked out for your surgery. Arlene hope your trip to therapist is uneventful and low stress. Vickie I'm happy to read that you're almost done with the lake house prep. I was thinking about you all day yesterday. It's almost done and if you need me to come over let me know.
today I'm off to Beaumont to visit the HEB store. Walmart is okay for basic groceries but sometimes I need gourmet shopping. I'm going to go on the thirty day challenge diet for November so I have to pick up lots of fruits and veggies. Going to make a big pot of ww zero points soup.
thoughts and hugs for all of you! Have a great fall day!

Good Morning Connie and OFF,
Connie, I hope your prep isn't too terrible. Last time I prepped for a colonoscopy didn't seem too bad, as preps go. I hope yours is as easy as mine was.
Kathy, I imagine a hard boiled egg might get stuck. Try refried beans with some cheddar cheese nuked in the microwave. Also, yogurt, especially Greek yogurt. Great protein sources. As for my energy, it comes in spurts. I don't know much about A-fib, but I'm sure once you fully recover from your surgery, and keep losing the weight, you will feel a little more energetic. Believe me, it took me a full six weeks post-op to stop feeling exhausted throughout the day. I took my daily walks, and crashed a lot. It does get better.
I woke up late. Izzy was supposed to have a three mile race at school this morning, but the rain here cancelled it. So, I went back to bed. I was wiped out. I have to get over to the church this afternoon, to set up for my lesson tonight. During my lessons, I sit, because of my foot. But, I have a small group, and two helpers. So, I have it easy. Not sure if you all remember way back when I was teaching, I had a stress fracture, and taught from a wheelchair. And I had four classes of 33 kids. They were the best kids I taught.
I am waiting for my pain meds to kick in, so I can get back to work here. I have dishes and laundry to take care of.
Hugs,
Trish

Connie and everyone to follow:
Connie, I will be praying for you that your prep goes OK and is effective and that tomorrow's procedure results in an "all clear".
Kathy, I ate a lot of refried beans with melted cheese as a newbie. I added some salsa to give it more flavor. It tasted soooo good.
Hubby had an early morning dental appointment. Dog has an appointment at the vet this afternoon. It's rainy here today so the roofers aren't here. Just enough moisture to make the roof slippery but not enough to do any good in the garden.
I hope that you all have a good day today.
Cindy P.
Hello Cindy....I am sure tomorrow will be an all clear!!! I have a 32 ounce bottle of Gatorade mixed with Marla to drink at 6PM. Another of the same at 8 AM. I took 4 Dulcolax earlier. YUCK!!
I hope Ron's DDS appointment went well. I thought the roofers were done yesterday. Bummer!!
Hope Logan had a good Vet appointment.
It is still snowing here. It isn't accumulating because the ground is too warm. The flakes are getting larger and heavier. If this keeps up we may have accumulation by morning.
I love you...have a good night...hugs....connie d
Hi Ladies,
Its a rainy and gloomy day here in Michigan. I had to do my exercise in the house today and probably tomorrow since it supposed to be cold out then Friday it will warm up again. I making a pot of cheesy chicken chili for supper tonight and having my friend over for supper.
Connie hope the prep is going good for you today. Will pray that everything turns out fine.
Kathy congrats on the weight loss. It will take time to figuire out how to eat and the tiredness should get better in time.
Vickie sorry you are having an emotional time right now. The stuff you made are beautiful.
Judy I dont know how you do it with those crazy people, I probably be in tears all the time and stressed.
Eileen hope the shot works this time.
Thoughts and prayers for everyone.
Love and hugs,
Yvonne
Hi Ladies....
Connie - hope your prep is going OK -- my PCP has been after me for years to get a colonoscopy and I haven't done it yet. But, I have committed myself to getting all the testing done now - I have no excuses. Have taken care of just about everything - but the colonoscopy remains, along with setting up a f/up appointments with my surgeon and dietitian. After that, I should be up-to-date. It never seems to end.
Kathy - your energy will come back, promise! When you have so much to lose, it takes a while. But once you notice it for the first time, you'll continue to see rapid changes. Take my lawn-mowing....a year ago I had to stop 5-6 times when I mowed the front section of lawn - because my heart would be pounding and I couldn't catch my breath. This past summer I would mow the section without stopping once, and without huffing and puffing. It really is amazing. Just like it took forever before I dropped my first size in pants -- but once I dropped the first size, the sizes kept dropping quickly. Believe it -- you are doing great!!
Judy - I continue to pray for you and your Mom....hoping things go well.
Vickie - Glad you're able to devote time to your sewing/quilting, etc. -- you certainly have a special talent. I've got to get me some yarn to start an afghan -- but have to "catch up" on my real estate taxes first!
Got to go for now. Be well, all!
Mary
Hello Mary...so nice to see you posting.
You gave Kathy some good support here today!! You are doing great!!
A colonoscopy is easy...really...it is the the prep and spending most of the day and next morning in the bathroom that is gross. Please do go and have one done. They are very important. Don't put it off any longer.
Have a good evening...love you...HUGS.....connie d
