Pictures Again

I have tried everything and nothing works. The pictures are in my profile under photos, so I guess to see pictures, you have to go look that way.

Jeannie, I did send OH a message earlier today asking how pictures can be imbedded in a post. I haven't heard anything back yet. It used to be easy. (sigh)

I sent them a message too. My DH thinks it's because I use a mac but my office is a PC and I couldn't post pictures from there either. It's crazy.

Jeannie, I sent you a friend request on OH (I believe I did). In order to see the pictures you posted on your profile of your sewing projects, I have to be on your friends list.

OK, so you're on my friends list -- but you have to send me a request so I can be on your list and see your profile (again, your profile has to be set up to allow friends to view; there are three settings, I believe: Private; Friends Only Can View; and Public).

This is an experiment, but I think it works. I'm following the steps as I type this.

At the very top of the web site, on the right hand side, there are four icons, one of which is the photo icon. Click on that.

A box appears that says "Click here to choose photos". Click on the little camera.

A pop up box appears with the photo images you have stored in your computer (or whatever device you are using). Select the photo you want and click on it.

Next click the Upload button on the lower right beneath the box. A message pops up that says something like "Awesome, Your photo was uploaded successfully." The photo is now in your profile pics.

Open your profile and click on the photo. It will open in a separate box. RIGHT CLICK the photo. Select "Copy Image URL".

Now you can imbed the photo in your post. Simply click the little picture icon in the tool bar across the top of your post. It says "Insert/edit image" when you hover over it.

A pop up box will open and the cursor is blinking in the Source box. Just hit CTRL V and the Image URL is copied there. Then click OK.

Here's another one. Look how skinny I was the summer before Butch got sick. I really need to get back there again.

I know it looks like a lot of complicated directions, but it's really pretty simple. Once you do it the first couple of times, you don't even have to think about it. Just Right Click on the picture, copy the URL and paste it into the Source box.
